About this mod
Dungeon Buddy is a parrot that is added to the entrances of dungeons in the game. They will alert you when the floor you are on has treasure and is optionally configurable via Generic Mod Config.

Dungeon Buddy is a configurable helper and NPC mod that when enabled will alert the user when they enter a dungeon floor if there is a chest or monster with a special item present. In addition, your buddy will alert you if there are breakable containers (barrels, crates, etc.) on the level, which may contain special items in some of the dungeons.
This mod does nothing until you become bird friend.
Once that happens, the parrot will appear at dungeon entrances where you can befriend them. From that point on, they can be found in the jungles of Ginger Island.
This mod is configurable via Generic Config Mod Menu, and requires SMAPI, as well as Custom NPC Exclusions.
This mod is currently English only. Once all intended features are complete, I will gladly accept help with translations.
This mod was created with single-player gameplay in mind. It has not been tested for multiplayer play.
WARNING: This mod places new elements in the entrances for all four game dungeons (Mines, Quarry Mines, Skull Cavern, Volcano Dungeon). If you have objects placed there, you will want to remove them prior to installing this mod. DungeonBuddy will attempt to relocate your objects to a safe location on the same map, but if there are too many objects, it will result in an in-game error message. If there is another mod that alters these locations, it may cause issues with Dungeon Buddy. I will attempt to work to fix compatibility issues caused by other mods.

Find 10 golden walnuts on Ginger Island, and enter Leo's hut.

- Download this mod and unzip its contents into your StardewValley\Mods folder.
- Launch the game with SMAPI. If you are unsure how to do this, please consult SMAPI's instructions.
