The two little effect dots on the Real Knife's model look a tad off, especially when using it. I'd like to suggest removing them, but I'd also like to request reclassifying the weapon as a "sword" to mimic the fact that, when the protagonist uses the Knife in Undertale, they slash with it rather than stab.
It was a good touch giving it crit power, by the way.
I've released a small patch with the changes you suggested, thanks for helping me out again. Unfortunately any weapons that you've already bought will retain their original stats and maybe their original sprites as well.
Getting back to Stardew Valley after a 2 year break and one of the first mods I stopped to check on was this one. Thanks for taking my suggestion, I'm looking forward to acquiring the Real Knife once again and experiencing these changes first hand.
I got the Prismatic Blade but it shows up in my inventory as the Master Sword. The stats are still the same and when I swing it, it's the Prismatic Blade. Is there any way to fix this? I did not use the forge to re-skin it.
Update: It turns out it was the Remember Your Umbrella mod causing the appearance change because when I dragged the folder out of my mods folder, the appearance reverted back to normal. I don't know what's causing this appearance change. The creator of the Remember Your Umbrella mod said it was a bug with JSON assets where the item ids sometimes get scrambled and the only real fix for this was a JSON assets update.
Thanks for the quick reply! I'm not too hung up about the visual change, just weirded out. My game still runs fine. The umbrellas are JSON assets weapons so I technically have two weapon mods instead of one so there could be some interference. Hopefully a JSON assets update can fix the visual change.
I've been using this mod since it released, and I love it so far, however this week I have learned of a problem. You have weapons added to Krobus' shop. I decided to make him my room mate this week and I learned that apparently the chest he leaves in the sewers for you to continue shopping is a seperate store, because the weapons won't show up. I removed him as my room mate to test it and sure enough the weapons showed up again with him back in the sewers. Not sure if you can somehow add the weapons to his shop after he becomes a room mate. No big deal if you can't though, just thought i'd let you know
Thanks for pointing this out to me, it's something I hadn't considered. I think I'll be able to add the weapons to the chest shop without too many issues, so I'll be sure to include that in the next update.
Hey, I think the reason for your crash is that you are trying to run multiple mods that have weapons of the same name. Most of the weapons mentioned in the SMAPI log are not from my mod, with the exception of the Terra Blade and the Trident.

I've never worked with animations on Stardew Valley so I'm not 100% sure on the exact process, but I believe that you would first need to download Content Patcher Animations. Then you would need to create sprites for each frame of the item's animation and lay them out horizontally in a .png file. You can use the "EditImage" action in Content Patcher to change the default image to your animation. Feel free to message me if you need any help with anything!
Ok, I was using a Jedi Lightsaber, then updated to your latest version. Now, in my backpack inventory, the lightsaber is gone, but not. The slot is still occupied, it still registers as a weapon, but when you put the cursor over it, it says it is my pickaxe. Also, I cannot remove it from my inventory. If I click on it with my controller, the cursor gets stuck until I use my mouse. After I posted the original version of this mod, someone pointed out to me how poorly implemented certain aspects of the mod were and how to go about improving them. It now adds the weapons using Json Assets rather than Content Patcher so there's a chance that any weapons purchased before the update will be buggy. Sorry if the error messed up your save files in any way. I am still fairly new to making my own mods. If you would like to get a new version of the lightsaber without having to pay again, you could use CJB Cheats Menu to spawn it into your inventory.
Ok found a work around fix. Luckily I keep older versions of the mods I download. Went back to your first release, added that back to the game. Loaded my save and threw out the lightsaber. After my next save I will add back the updated version of your mod.
There's a section under the files tab that has every old version I've ever uploaded. Version 1.1.1 should work for you as that was the last update in which everything was added solely through Content Patcher.
