Olivia and Victor's house is sadly messed up with this mod along with Robin's house having their circle attic window flickering :( Besides that I've been playing with this mod and it works well!
aurora vineyard is also messed up, as well as andy's house being MASSIVELY bugged out in terms of visuals for me </3 highkey wondering if i can somehow adjust it myself.... if i figure it out i'll let u know lol
There are multiple mods to fix Vibrant Pastoral Recolor for SVE, so after reading the comments and descriptions of the various mods, from my understanding you have to:
download Redraw Pelican Town Expanded VPR (which also already includes the recolor for the vanilla assets, so don't download Redraw Pelican Town VPR!) + requirements
(OPTIONAL) add Vibrant Pastoral Recolor temporary fix for 1.6. , which is almost identical to Redraw Pelican Town (VPR) except for a few things (Redraw author said that adding the temporary fix "won't gain you a benefit with SVE assets. Only vanilla ones I've not done (yet). If you use vanilla trees, keep it. I won't touch those. Probably." ) and luckily the modders made them compatible with each other.
Update: for some reason RPTE also forcibly asks me for RPT, so you have to add that too.
It looks gorgeous, but I do think the downloading process is a bit complicated for newer modders (like me) so if theres any way you could make it easier or something, that'd be lovely. If not, thats okay.
A temporary mod was created that fixes some of the vanilla tiles: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/20698, at least for the base game. Not sure if it fixes everything with SVE.
I have edited the tilesheets to be used with version 1.14.17 of SVE. All assets used are SVE's/VPR's only. Here's what I changed: - Craftables for all seasons and (most) snow-covered things in winter have been recolored; - Waterfalls have been fixed (in the Highlands and in Lance's spouse room); - The Jenkins household got a glow-up (in my opinion) for all four seasons; - Some other small fixes and edits (including Andy's house).
I wanted to post my edits because VPR is my favorite recolor, and I don't want others to be put off from downloading it because it hasn't been updated in a while. If/when grapeponta becomes active again, they are allowed to incorporate my edits into their own mod and/or I will take this share link down at their request.
Thank you also to those who have posted in the comments section prior to me with their fixes.
If you spot anything weird or off, let me know. For the most part these files are being provided as-is but I may continue to update them. They do nothing on their own; you will need to install the main mod and then drag and drop these files into the assets folder and replace the originals. I hope you like them!
Download this mod (Vibrant Pastoral Recolor for SVE) as normal. Put it in your Mods folder. Then download my file from the link above. Go to the Vibrant Pastoral for SVE folder in your Mods folder, then click on the "assets" folder. Drag and drop my files into the "assets" folder, and overwrite the old files when prompted.
Fixes Andy's house, Susan's house, Aurora Vineyard, and edits the Jenkin's Residence roof in winter. Just drag and drop into your installation folder to overwrite the outdated images.
Do you happen to know if this needs done again? I'm still getting some weirdness at Andy's house (The entryway to his farm is vanilla coloring and is fighting for the fence behind it for the top layer), and also items like books, papers, and plants seem to blink in and out of existence as I walk around in certain buildings.
After reading all the comments, it seems that this mod may have been abandon. It's a shame since it's the nicest map recolor since Eemie's and I was hoping there would eventually be a Ridgeside version.
Check out my post from 11/28/22 below; I've made some edits to the tilesheets that are compatible with the current version of SVE (1.14.17) and help with most of the visual bugs. If you're interested in the download, it's located here: (EDITED 1/4/23) https://www.mediafire.com/file/p0znn1uxfx1apey/VPR+SVE+Edits.zip/file
You're welcome! Hmm. There must be something else that you've downloaded that edits that spot, because I'm not playing using Grandpa's Farm and that tile appears for me. I have a custom farm map by DaisyNiko that's replacing my standard farm layout and everything looks OK, which makes me think it's probably not VPR that's causing that issue for you.
Like I said, I have this issue with the pet bowl on all farms; forest, standard, riverland, wilderness,etc... and it's 100% VPR because the issue goes away when i remove the mod.
No biggies tho, i can just remove the pet bowl from the /asset doc and it's normal again.
This looks more like a mod conflict, 'cause VPR for SVE doesn't touch that bowl on any map but Grandpa's Farm. Remove all mods that aren't essential to run either VPR or SVE and check if it stills happens. I doubt it though. Then add your mods back in chunks until it breaks again, make your chunks smaller yadda yadda yadda.
I take it back, the code is missing an exception for the case that you have Grandpa's Farm but don't use it. But why do you have the mod if you don't use it? Anyway, open the content.json, look for the very last entry and change the when-line to"When": {"HasMod": "flashshifter.GrandpasFarm", "FarmType":"Standard"},
If anyone else is having this problem, you don't have to delete the dog bowl asset, just make the "PatchMode" from "Replace" to "Overlay" in content JSON. Additionally, to get the VPR SVE pet bowl to overlay perfectly, correct the X and Y coordinates as show below too! I have bolded and underlined the corrections below. :3
Not sure why you post this crooked fix when I already provided a proper solution. Overlaying is certainly an option, albeit an awful one: you are doubling the shadow opacity. Anyway, do not apply those coordinates, they were already correct. You essentially broke the code by feeding impossible coordinates. Thus it is ignored. The _outdoorsTileSheet's dimensions are 400x1264.

Thanks a lot.
I have a small issue with the pet bowl tile being black in all farm maps except Grandpa's farm, do you think you could fix it?
