Transforms Gunther into a real resident of Stardew Valley. Gunther is a polite, enthusiastic academic who, in addition to archaeology and geology, loves people and getting to know them. Despite his friendly and outgoing nature, however, he can't seem to get his teenage daughter, Cecily, from his previous marriage to do anything more than tolerate him.

The mod adds a daughter for Gunther from his first marriage. His story arc revolves around him making friends with her and getting to be a real father figure for her for sort of the first time. During his eight heart event she comes to live with him in Pelican Town and it's revealed that she ran away from her mother's house because her mom's new husband had hurt her. She talks about this a bit herself if you make friends with her, but there's nothing graphic or detailed, just her coming to terms with changes in her life and who she trusts.

Installation:
Unzip and copy both folder ([CP] Make Gunther Real and [TMX] Make Gunther Real) into your StardewValley/Mods folder
Optionally, unzip [CSP] Make Gunther Real and install CustomSpousePatios
Make sure you have TMX and PyTK installed
Enjoy!

Config Options:
  • Sprite: (Options: vanilla, new) Choice of vanilla sprite or new sprite. Defaults to vanilla.
  • Cecily Portrait Style (Options: vanilla, 1, 2) There are two portraits for Cecily, a vanilla pixel-art style, a new style which may fit better with other portrait mods (see below), and a brand-new pixel art option, courtesy of AirynS! Alternatively, if you want to use the high-res version of her alt portrait, download the optional high-res portrait in the files and install with Portraiture.






Compatibility:
  • Looking for Love: Should be fully compatible.
  • Romanceable Rasmodius: Fully compatible.
  • Make Marlon Real: Fully compatible.
  • Karmylla's Maps: Should be fully compatible.
  • Befriend Marlon and Gunther: Running both of these will cause issues. If you want to run this mod, I recommend you replace BM&G with the combination of this mod and Make Marlon Real.
  • Museum Expansion: It might be possible to make these mechanically compatible, but the lore conflicts heavily, so I recommend you choose one or the other.
  • Stardew Valley Expanded: This is inherently NOT compatible with SVE and never will be. 

Heart Events:

2 Hearts: Enter the museum between 8am and 6pm.
4 Hearts: Enter the museum between 8am and 6pm.
6 Hearts: Enter the saloon between 6pm and 12am.
7 Hearts: Choose the second dialogue option in the 6 heart event. Then enter the saloon between 6pm and 12am.
8 Hearts: Trigger the 6 heart event. If you choose the second dialogue option you must also trigger the 7 heart event. Then enter the bus stop from your farm between 6:10am and 5pm.
10 Hearts: You'll receive a letter from Gunther in the mail. After that, enter the bus stop between 6:10am and 11:50am.
