    Hi! Is there is any way to disable turning your character into mouse direction when i use tool by button?

      It's supposed to not do that by default, but I think there was a Stardew change at some point that caused the player to always face the "target location" when using a tool, which also effectively made this mod's Turn Toward Click options useless ("always enabled").

      As of version 1.6.3, tool use using a non-mouse button shouldn't change the player's direction (unless "Custom Range on Click Only," enabled by default, is disabled), and turning off the Turn Toward Click options should function properly again.

      Testing a little bit with function "custom range on click only" and "combined tool tip location display" i found that when coursor in 1 tile from character it still looses focus from character direction and hits where coursor located.
      I also found a little bit strange behavior of base geme. Using tool keyboard button if i hower over any ui element (inventoy, diary and etc) and press using tool buton it implement click on that ui element rather than use of tool. I guees thats a problem of base game, which is very sad :(

      Targeting the mouse within 1-tile range even when not using a mouse button is also a base game behavior, and I'm finding it's not trivial to add an option to disable that - it seems like it'd be more trouble than it's worth. (And a bit of a weird inclusion, for a mod whose main purpose is to let tools target the mouse wherever it may be.) So when you want to target purely using player position, I think you'll just have to move the cursor away.

    I feel like Stardew valley needs more mods aimed towards controller players. Such as a way to use mods from controller. I know this is unrelated, but I just wanted to say it. Thanks for the great mod vgperson! Good day.

    Excellent mods Thank you for your work
    If you want, you can add more tags to the mod such as combat improvements, interaction improvements, etc
    I spent a long time looking for these mods, but none of them were satisfactory,I just found this mod by accident

    Hello, first-time mod user here. (sorry in advance)

    my hoe, and watering can work perfectly, but I can't use the axe or pick axe past 1 tile even though I set it to 10, and even -1 at one point. what happens is, that the tile select gets highlighted, but so does the tile in front of my player, so when I go to use axe or pick axe, nothing will happen, or my hoe will dig up the dirt in the tile in front of me.

    I do have the auto tool switch mod, could this be causing the issues?

      Yes, there's a incompatibility between this mod and Automate Tool Swap. The function that mod uses to get the "tile at the cursor" in most cases does not account for the possibility of extended range, and only selects tiles near the player. And because said function is a part of SMAPI, a mod is not able to affect it, and I don't see any other workarounds to make it work. I believe there's nothing I can do on my end, so the other mod is the one that would have to add compatibility (or at least change their code in a way that would let me patch it).

      Slight bit of shameless self promotion here, but I updated this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/20829?tab=description for 1.6 and just tested it and seems to work well together and provides similar functionality to the auto tool switch mod.

      As a disclaimer the reason I tested it someone reported errors with mine and this was in the log, but I haven't been able to recreate and they do seem to work together

    I just downloaded this mod again, and it seems that there are some options in the mod that make it impossible to put down the crab cage

      Use Generic Mod Config Menu. At the bottom of the settings there is a place to turn it off

      Changing the range for things like talking to people or picking up items has never been a feature of this mod. Those actions are fairly hard-coded to only check tiles next to the player (especially when pressing a key/button instead of clicking on the person/item), so I've never been able to find a good way of implementing it.
