Shows a preview of the fish species while you are catching it!
Fish species you have caught before will show the preview; uncaught fish species show as "???" (configurable). Also works in other languages and with mods that add new fish.

Fish Preview
Was that an octopus? It got away... we'll never know....
This mod works during the fishing minigame to show a preview image of the fish you are currently catching. Fish species you have caught before will show the preview; uncaught fish species show as "???" (configurable). Also works in other languages and with mods that add new fish.

CONFIG OPTIONS
After running SMAPI with Fish Preview installed, a
FishDisplayPosition: Choose where you want the preview to appear (see image below).
ShowUncaughtFishSpecies: Show preview for all fish species, even ones you have never caught. Default is
AlwaysShowLegendaryFish: Show preview for legendary fish. Default is

COMPATIBILITY
- Stardew Valley v1.4 or later;
- Linux, Mac and Windows;
- Partially compatible on Android (some config options do not work);
- Single-player and multiplayer (works for any player who has it installed).
- Compatible with new fish added by SVE and More New Fish (and probably other mods too).
- Works in all officially-supported languages.
INSTALLATION
- Install the latest version of SMAPI.
- Download this mod from the link in the header above.
- Unzip the mod and place the
FishPreviewfolder inside yourModsfolder. - Run the game using SMAPI.
CONFIG OPTIONS
After running SMAPI with Fish Preview installed, a
config.json file will be created. Open it in any text editor to change your settings:FishDisplayPosition: Choose where you want the preview to appear (see image below).
