Now Pierre can get that aged Whisky for the governor...
This is built and tested on Linux, which is the most picky as far as I know. Make a bug report if you have problems. The machines should be inside a building to function (forgot to put that into the description), but have no further requirements (no need to waste the precious cellar space for iron casks).
Did you try to put them somewhere out? They need to be put inside a building.
I haven't yet installed 1.6. myself and thus not tested if this mod still stills there, BTW. I have a running save that I'm afraid will break, so I've been waiting....(wanting to get that save so I've seen most things...)
I'll see when I get to 1.6. myself. Problem may be this mod, json assets or both... Distillery has a number of dependencies, so there are many moving parts...
I downloaded this mod a while ago, but have only just gotten the ability to craft an iron cask. However, when I place it, I get a pop up saying "Can't work here". I've googled it, but no one seems to be having the same problem. Is there something I'm missing? Please help XD
Right. There are some special products requiring either Ridgeside Valley or Walk to the Desert. The mod works without those, you just don't get the extra products (as you don't have the starting products). I suspect it causes problems with getting perfection, but that can be fixed with Perfection Tweaker.
Edit: fixed typos and a further comment: It may give a warning if you don't have those two mods but just don't heed it.
I haven't been running it with the last SMAPI and CP updates, but it should have nothing incompatible. I have not tested it with multiplayer, unfortunately. If you mean just version 1.5. it is compatible.
Hi, whiskey IRL is not aged in Iron Casks in fact that would do nothing to increase the quality, it takes on flavor from wood. So could you perhaps change it to a slightly darker sprite of the normal cask and call it an Oak Cask?
Also, the sell prices for the items are quite high (3x the input!!) and the production time is quite low (less than a day). If using Ancient Fruit Wine, this is simply a money cheat. Can we have a version that's a bit more balanced which increases the input value by about +25% instead, and the production time increased to something like 3-5 days?
You can think that the aging agent is inside the cask .;-D There is the "Distillery tricky" version where the machine is unreliable and produces Bootleg liquor (Moonshine) half the time. I can make more versions with different profit versions when I have time (just now busy with Nanowrimo).
Should be working with it (have you tried and got a problem or are you just asking?). I have been using Automate + Distillery in several of my runs. (Now I'm testing a new mod that is the "opposite" of Distillery.
I have both mods, but I can place the distillery even RIGHT next to a chest holding plenty pale ale and wines, but the distillery doesn't grab from the chest
Does it work if you put things there manually? Really I have been using both and have never had problems.
I'm making a test... I opened a run that had Distillery and Automate and updated Automate (I did not go through all mods, though).
Yeah, no problem in that small test: I put some bottles of Grape Wine into a chest adjacent to Distillery machine and it grabbed three. Out popped Cognac after two in-game hours. Just a moment... Do you have this installed: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5038 (PFMAutomate). It is needed to get both working together.
This mod was working just fine until I installed Stardew on a new computer. I initially forgot to add the distillery mod - added it last night and am able to craft the distilleries, but I can't actually add anything to them.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling through Steam, but still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?
That sounds like something is missing. I'm not using Steam so I cannot say. There should be three folders under your Distillery folder: [PFM]Distillery, KentLovedGift and [JA]Distillery. (PFM requires ProducerFarmeworkMod and JA requires Json Assets.
Missing [JA]Distillery or Json Assets might cause that. If it's not that then I don't know. Smapi log might help (you can upload it at https://smapi.io/log).
(I'm updating my Finnish translation mod to use the new system with it's own language code instead replacing another language, which means also updating all my other mods, and that's been taking time)
A warning: This mod uses stuff from RSV and Walk to the Desert Redux. They are not obligatory, but they interfere with getting Perfection (end-game stuff). Using Perfection tweaker is a workaround for them.
(I don't have time to tinker with this now; if someone wishes, I could make separate versions for people who wish not install any of those other mods)

1.6 i'm playing on so that's probably why, though json asset mod is kinda bugged now

I feel foolish.

Thank for answer!

Thanks for the mod!

Would it be possible to have this mod work with https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1063 ?
