Would you say the new xBRZ + EPX sampling is the preferred sampling mode?
Thank you very much, I've just recently discovered this mod and it really feels like playing a brand new game. I'm so delighted to just wander around and experience the new look of everything. Pairs really nicely with other content mods as well. :)
could you add the support for mobile?it provide so many optimizations but not support mobile, and Spritemaster is the only performance mod for sv. “author's support is the best gift for player”
The mod is broken. I recommend to use smapi site to see if the mods you have were broken because of 1.6, there's a possibility of this being the reason. https://smapi.io/mods
I’m sure an update there are so many things going on with this game right now. Lots of updates on multiple mods mods getting updated three or four times. This seems like one that depends on a lot of other things being in place like how will it work with all of the re-shades and things like that.
Yah, there's a LOT of mods that got essencialy killed or nullified with this att! I will just sip some tea and wait... I just got so used to Spritemaster that opening vanilla was a slap in the face! rofl
Really appreciate the update! Altough i do have one issue with crashing when trying to open SpriteMaster from the GMCM here's my smapi log hopefully this can be fixed :)
Thank you Aurpine. Unfortunately, after it working successfully on our Linux (mint) machines, we rebooted to play again this morning, and receive the error "[SMAPI] - SpriteMaster 0.16.1 because its DLL couldn't be loaded."
Not sure if this is related to the 0.16.2 Stardew Valley hotfix patch, but it was odd that it worked yesterday. We tested it on Windows 10 machines, and it loads correctly, so **thank you for taking the time to update the mod**.
(Linux is nicer, though, for those with AMD graphic cards, as StardewValley uses openGL. The Linux MESA drivers handle openGL **MUCH** better than Windows 7 / 10 / 11 does. It's almost night-and-day. Not an issue for those with Nvidia cards.)
I'm currently playing on a macbook and got the same error the second time I opened the game. I found that for some reason it deletes the CommunityToolkit.HighPerformance.dll and if I re-add that to the mods folder it works again (Until I reboot the game).
Same here on Linux - but I noticed it starts alright the first time after unzip. When I close the game and reopen the dll error occurs. If i then unzip it again it works once. ;)
Another thing I noticed is that I cannot open the config in generic mod config menu.
When you run Stardewvalley with the Spritemaster mod, the file "CommunityToolkit.HighPerformance.dll" is *erased*. The game will still load Spritemaster properly. However, if you run it a second time, the file "CommunityToolkit.HighPerformance.dll" is no longer in the spritemaster mod directly, and SMAPI will spit out an error (shown above) and not load it.
The workaround (in Linux) I've found is simply to copy over the file into the mod directoy each time I want to play. I could theoretically use SUDO as ROOT and make the file undeleteable as admin, but that would apply to the directory in itself (and my command of Linux is not that good).
If someone here knows how to make a file undeleteable as user, but not as Root, this could be a workaround until it's discovered why the file is deleted after loading.
SOLUTION on Linux (Steamdeck): Just open terminal in StripeMaster folder inside mods (when just unzipped in the mods folder) and enter sudo to be root on terminal, so you now can make the file immutable with "chattr +i CommunityToolkit.HighPerformance.dll". That makes it right now :)
Is there an install guide? Running on Windows, getting shitton of red errors on Smapi startup console -> has to be installing error. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
For me on Mac it works the first time I load the game, but the next time I use it i have to delete the folder from the Mods folder and add it again, though no file appears to change.
Thank you all for reporting bugs and figuring out the "dll not found" issue. It has been fixed 😊.
I've reuploaded the mod. Unofficial mods are not allowed so I made a new one. Enjoy Clear Glasses. It has pixel sprite upscaling and a new saturation filter. Please send your bug reports there.

It's all subjective.
Some people prefer just EPX if they prefer to keep pixelated edges but just have more of them.

Almost wish I never updated my game.

If you are getting errors, it is most likely a mod conflict. Disabling all other mods should work.
