Some of my cows are chickens with a "no" sign over the top of them?

I've no idea if I'm doing anything anything wrong, but when I download this mod, it turns my brown cows purple and Marnie's brown cows blue and purple. And then the only sheep I own has turned green. I uninstalled this mod and everything goes back to normal. I tried deleting the files for the cows and sheep and then having Steam restore them, but that doesn't help. Any idea what it could be? I really love this mod and the others that you've made

Wow, that's really bizarre. I don't think it's anything caused by my mod.. I don't see how that would even be possible! Do you have other mods installed? Maybe it's conflicting with something

I do and I did consider that possibility, but I have no other mods that alter how my animals look. It's really weird because the pig and horse recolor mods work fine. It's just the cow one that's behaving weirdly for me. I checked my SMAPI log and it said:

[game] Farm animal 'Brown Cow' failed to load texture path 'Mods\Zhuria.Cows\Cows\Red HolsteinBaby': asset doesn't exist. Defaulting to error texture.

Okay, someone is having a similar issue with my rabbit mod but there's literally nothing wrong with the code or assets that I can see and I'm stumped, but I'm going to maybe resave the PNGs; maybe they're corrupted or something? Might try cleaning the code up too just to make 100% sure. I'll reupload them at some point hopefully today. Sorry about that!

I figured out the issue and I don't know if it'll help the other person that had the same issue with your rabbit mod, BUT. It was user error on my behalf and I'm glad I didn't give up trying to figure it out. It was the Alternative Textures mod for me. I don't recall ever manually downloading downloading their Example Pack (which messed with several things I had not just animals), but I did apparently and it was making the colors of the cows the color from that pack and not from yours. So there was mod conflict essentially like you originally guessed. I use Mod Drop and had to actually go into my Mods folder to see if there was anything there not showing up.

I deleted it and her cows went back to normal. Mine, however, I had to sell and re-purchase as it replaced my cow with a chicken that had an error symbol on it. Removing the mod pack wasn't enough to turn them back to normal. Either that or it's once again user error and I didn't know HOW to turn it back into a cow.

Either way, I'm happy that I figured it out and I apologize for causing you any unneeded stress!

Oh wonderful! I did think it was AT related because I saw that green/purple texture on their github and the lightbulb went off. I know it automatically puts the example folder in with the rest of the mod and you do need to manually delete it if you don't need it, but I didn't think it would also mess up other mods!

I am having an issue with my cows and pig mods (and maybe the rabbits too) and the skin variations not working, and I'm desperately trying to sort that out right now. Not as much of an issue with the cows because there are only two brown cow variations. Still trying to figure out what the HECK is going on with that because the code is right, the assets are right, the game is even SAYING it's working, but it's not. A bit stumped and so are some other mod authors but I'll keep working at it!

So I double checked and you accidently uploaded v2.0.0 instead of 2.0.2 :3
2.0.1 was working fine so I was shocked whn I put the new version in and it was broke haha xD

    SMAPI log:

For now I will just keep 2.0.1 installed because it works fine :3

THIS IS SO WEIRD. I think Nexus is having a stroke because I've checked the file like 10 times, rezipped it, reuploaded several times, and it's just keeping the 2.0.0 version!! I'm baffled!! I'll keep working on it!

Nexus sometimes eats minor changes but I don't think I've seen it eat entire updates multiple updates in a row before!

It was so bizarre! I had to straight up archive the old file and replace it. I kept looking in the zip, seeing the correct version, uploading it, downloading it, and seeing the wrong version ???????? what even 😂 Anyway, I think it's fixed now!

Can confirm Nexus finally let you upload the correct 2.0.3 version haha xD
That was super crazy and sorry it took me so long to reply back.
No errors or reminders finally in SMAPI! Thank you so much for updating <3

I love these cows! But do you think you could lighten their eyes? Maybe to brown? It seems like hey blend in and disappear.
