The windows just turn black when there is storm in summer... I think rain and storm are different stats and the mod has no storm image file to put in place maybe?
If anyone else is having the speckled lighting problem:
1. Download this image and save it as "Cursors.png" 2. Go into the assets file for the mod 3. Delete the Cursors.png file in the assets folder 4. Put the new Cursor.pngs that you downloaded from the link into the assets folder
Please let me know if it doesn't work ill see what else i can do
AT (Alternative Textures) is a popular framework mod that lets you change the texture of any item ingame, by making an AT Pack you'd just make a pack with these textures without having to overwrite the windows. There is a guide on the Alternative Textures mod description if you are interested and it's very easy but no pressure to make it if you don't feel like it!
Just to let you know, this mod makes the trash can icon in the inventory disappear, (the icon exists in cursors.png, I presume it's being replaced there somehow)

it should be fixed in the latest version :)
