Love this mod for adding some palms to my beach map farm. Would you please consider adding an option for the trees not to spread and make new ones? They are taking over my farm, LOL, and I'd rather have them just where I place them, as decoration. This still works perfectly in 1.5, for anyone wondering.
If logic serves me right, those new growths that surround the fully grown tree should be able to be dug up if done so before they have a chance to grow. The only problem I'm seeing is that forgeable coconuts have a quality rating and if you were able to dig one up, it'd almost assuredly be of standard quality regardless.
But then again, that's just my guess, I have yet to test this mod.
