DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS MOD FROM ANYWHERE EXCEPT HERE, MODDROP, OR MY GITHUB
Other websites are stealing mods from Nexus and uploading them without permission, while earning money on each mod they steal.  My mods are always found on the three sites listed above and no where else.

With permission from LavenderLight, welcome to the new home of A Toned Down Stardew Valley!  Most of the tilesheets have been converted into overlays for better compatibility with other mods, including your favorite outdoor recolors.

BECAUSE OF THIS, THIS MOD NO LONGER CONTAINS RECOLORS OF THE GRASS/TREES/ETC.
It only recolors the buildings, etc, not the terrain.  The only terrain it touches right now are the beach and desert areas.

This mod requires Content Patcher to work and should work with any custom maps you may have (however, please let me know if you find it does not).

THIS MOD WORKS WITH STARDEW VALLEY 1.4!

Install
  1. Install the latest version of SMAPI.
  2. Install Content Patcher.
  3. Download this mod and unzip it, then copy  the '[CP] A Toned Down Stardew Valley' folder into Stardew Valley/Mods.
  4. Run the game once using SMAPI to generate the config file.
  5. Access the config file from the mod folder and choose your settings.  Options will be listed below, as well as in the readme.

Config Options
  • TownInteriorColor - choose between four color schemes, defaults to warmwhite.  Choices are:
  • --Standard
  • --White
  • --Warm
  • --WarmWhite
  • InteriorOnly - toggles if you want the outdoor changes or not, using true/false.  Default to false.  Must be set to false if you want the trees, dirt, etc.
  • NoFarmhouseFurniture - toggles if you don't want to use the recolored farmhouse furniture.  Uses true/false, defaults to false.
  • TreesEnabled - toggles the new palm trees, if you want to use those over the ones in your base recolor.  Uses true/false, defaults to true.
  • BushesEnabled - toggles the modified Eemie style bushes, again overriding your base recolor.  Uses true/false, defaults to false.
  • HoeDirtEnabled - toggles the darker dirt color when using the hoe.  Uses true/false, defaults to false.
  • UseWorldMapRecolor - choose if you want to use the new world map recolor with True/False.  Defaults to "true".  If you use Bouhm's NPC Map Locations, a recolored map is included with that mod and will activate automatically upon installing this

Credit and huge thanks to LavenderLight for the original mod and allowing this update!
Since the original page has been hidden, please note that all of the assets contained in this mod belong either to LavenderLight, Mioudew, eemiestardew, or minervamaga, all used in this mod with explicit permission at the time of the original version's creation.  No unauthorized use is permitted of any of these assets, including edits based on this mod's recolors.
Credit for the world map base goes to zanderb14, originally seen here.  I have modified this base map with the buildings, fences, etc recolored to match ATDSV's palette.

Please note that DustBeauty has copied this mod and color shifted many of its assets in their mod, as well as wholesale lifted certain assets made by Eemie. While the mod started as a new color option for ATDSV, the art style did not align with the style of this mod.  Neither LavenderLight nor minervamaga were contacted regarding releasing the mod as a standalone version until after it was already released.  As of June 11, 2020, all rights to asset use have been revoked (and indeed were never granted for some).  This includes any assets made by Eemie.  Please note the permissions on Eemie's mods, as many of them may have changed.

TODO
  • Make world map compatible with other recolors via overlay

Source code found here.  Feel free to submit a pull request with improvements or translations.  You can also report issues or request features using the Issues tab!

Base recolor seen in the previews is Ace's A Wittily Named Recolor!
