I found a temporary solution. If you'll install this mod https://blog.naver.com/khs3400/222049471897, Dark UI for 1.4 and White Text Only from optional files then white color will work correctly.
I love the colors, but for some reason, the white text-only does not work for me! I have downloaded and extracted the Dark UI itself and white text only many times, but white text does not appear. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong because I really want to use this!
Hey Zazizu3, not a huge deal, but noticed a minor bug.
When using White Text Only, you can't open your journal after accepting a delivery off the special request board. It'll immediately close after opening. I used White Text despite being a modders resource because I thought it looked better with my color scheme, but had to do some digging to pinpoint which mod caused this.
Hopefully this helps someone who had the same issue as me. Couldn't find anything online.
I used White Text Only because the main mod didn't give white text, (probably because of 1.5 update) but the optional file fixed it until this bug happened.
I really like Dark Themes for almost everything I use, social networks, browser, etc... But, in your Dark UI some things aren't black, just like those printscreens: https://prnt.sc/15qwrla (main menu) and https://prnt.sc/15qwoy9 (some buttons).
I know you're prob updating the theme every time more, so I am here to show you some things to enhance :D A feedback from me, I'm excited for new updates and turn Stardew Valley menus completely in dak theme! :3
It's a great job, bro, keep it up! I liked a lot <3
Are you hoping for everything to be completely black? While cool, it probably shouldn't or wouldn't happen. Dark doesn't necessarily mean black so darker colors like deep maroon and midnight blue would be accepted as well.
Sorry, when I said black, I want mean dark, just like other menu parts!
Some parts of this mod it's too dark, so, I still searching a more balanced dark theme such like the own Nexus Website dark theme! A mix of dark gray with gray colors, without being too much dark on top menubar.
I am currently using Brown Vintage UI since it have a better palette colors than vanilla ><
I figured it out, sort of. SpriteFont1 in the Fonts folder is what I was looking for, but you can't make it white. I managed a few colors that are okay against a black background, though. There's .png files here if anyone wants them. Hopefully it helps somebody until someone can find a workaround or something.
I don't know if this mod's abandoned or not, but if it is, can someone else help me, or point me in the right direction? I need to change not the color of the text, but the orange shadow behind it. It was easy enough with the bold text in the \loosesprites folder, but I don't see any way to fix the rest of it. If someone knows how to change the color of just text shadow, or where to start looking, I'd really appreciate the help!
Hey so I've downloaded the imgur png's and unpacked my SpriteFont1 xnb folder, and was wondering if I could just replace the Spritefont1 png with whatever imgur png I've just downloaded. I know it's not rocket science, just want to make sure I do everything right to not mess up my game; Thanks in advance.
That's definitely an option (and the one I usually take), but make sure your original files are backed up first, just in case. I could try writing a Content Patcher mod for it, but I'm not exactly an expert, so it could take a bit.
Feature Request: Set our own colours to use in Seasonal Mode, so we can set a colour for each season, if this would be possible.
Or where could I edit the code for personal use, to do this? I imagine the colours are pulled from someplace for the seasons. (Or maybe it's not that easy, and something within a .dll, in that case I propose a config setting :D)
The DLL only makes the text white. The UI recolors are just regular Content Patcher files (you could easily change them by opening the PNGs and changing their hues). If you want to change the text color, then you'll have to edit the DLL's code, but I'll add a config file in the next update so you can change the text color easily (Im lazy with updates so you might have to wait :p)
