Have you ever had way too many flowers that you didn’t know what to do with? Look no further!
This mod introduces flower extracts to the game using the oil maker! Each extract uses five flowers of the same quality and takes one day to make. One item is added to the shipping total, but any flower fulfills it (like jellies and pickles). Extracts are Universal Neutral gifts.
There are nine base game extracts!
- Blue Jazz
- Tulip
- Daffodil
- Summer Spangle
- Poppy
- Sweet Pea
- Fairy Rose
- Crocus
- Holly
The SVE Patch introduces six additional extracts!
- Ferngill Primrose
- Goldenrod
- Thistle
- Winter Star Rose
- Swamp Flower
- Diamond Flower
If you use a mod that adds flowers to the game, there’s an easy way to make them compatible!
- Within the mod’s Objects.json or Content.json (wherever the item information is stored) add "extract_flower_item" to the flower’s “ContextTags” section.
- By adding the tag, the flower can be used in the oil maker to create extracts as long as this mod is enabled! I can (probably) answer any questions about adding these tags to a mod.
- I also included a guide in the image gallery!
For those curious about what color each extract is to avoid duplicates:
Daffodil: Yellow Green*
Crocus: Poppyseed*
Fairy Rose: Pink
Holly: Red
Poppy: Orange
Summer Spangle: Yellow
Sweet Pea: Dark Pink*
Tulip: Salmon*
Ferngill Primrose: White** (but I have a suspicion that it is not applying the color properly for some reason)
Goldenrod: Gold**
Thistle: Pale Violet Red**
Winter Star Rose: Light Cyan**
Swamp Flower: Dark Red*
Diamond Flower: Cyan*
* - Changed from the original, ** - Did not have a color
The Stardew Valley Wiki has a list of the color names used in the game.
(I might make an update later with customized gift tastes. Additionally, I would love for a future update to include each extract having a personalized sprite (like EBAGI) without each extract becoming their own shipping item, but that requires modding knowledge I don't have at the moment. Maybe one day.)
I personally use a mod that makes every flower the same color, which isn’t required but would probably simplify the process.
