Visual Alterations
You can now choose between several different exterior textures for the planting hall building. The shape is the same for all, but they are recolored/altered to fit popular aesthetic mods.
I've also added interior tilesets that match Starblue Valley and DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolour.
Credits for all referenced mods can be found below and in the credits section of this mod page.
Mechanical Changes/Config Options
You can now choose to set one of two unlock requirement for the custom building - completing the community center (or Joja) or completing the pantry (which unlocks the regular greenhouse). After meeting the selected unlock requirement, you will receive a letter from Robin informing you of the new farm building available for construction. If no unlock requirement is set, the building is available immediately.
You can also remove the water basins from the building's interior. Each of the four corner rooms will have still a water source on the side if you choose this option.
Lastly, I've added the 'capitalist' price config option. See 'Configurations' below.
General
This content pack utilizes Pathoschild's Content Patcher to add a planting hall to the game as a new farm building.
The planting hall can be constructed by Robin independently from the original greenhouse. It offers several planting rooms with crop plots that are designed to fit iridium sprinklers, as demonstrated in the example pictures on this mod page.
The construction cost and materials are fairly expensive by default, as this building is quite powerful early in the game, but you can choose to change this as explained in the 'Configurations' section below.
Functionally, the planting hall acts as a second, larger greenhouse. The water basins between the crop plots can be used to refill your watering can. Fruit trees can be planted pretty much anywhere, but I have added designated spots for them in the middle layout as well.
Replacing the Vanilla Greenhouse Interior
If you want to replace your original greenhouse interior with the planting hall map, you can now do so by enabling 'ReplaceGreenhouseInterior' in the Generic Mod Config Menu options. To avoid complications, it's best to do this when your greenhouse is completely empty. If you want to use this layout on a save file with an already decorated greenhouse, I recommend removing all machines, items, crops and fruit trees before converting. Anything left in the greenhouse will be located at the top-left corner of the new interior. If you were using the vanilla layout before, your crops will still be reachable, but located on tiles that would otherwise not be plantable. Trees and items that were previously positioned at the top or the left side of the greenhouse may be located on wall tiles and be unreachable to you. If you were previously using another custom layout, I recommend removing all entities before converting regardless of their position. The same applies when converting from the planting hall layout to a different one.
You can still build the planting hall if you set it as your greenhouse interior, as long as 'CustomBuilding' is enabled. The exterior of the building can't be changed in this version yet due to sizing issues, so you can use any aesthetic mod you wish. I may add an option to replace the greenhouse exterior to match the planting hall later on.
Configurations
Using spacechase0's Generic Mod Config Menu, you have the following configuration options:
Winter Texture
Disabled by default. If you want the building to have a snowy roof during the winter, you can toggle this option. The winter texture matches with those in my 'Farm Buildings Revamped' mod.
Construction
Determines the price and material cost for construction. There are three options to choose from in this category.
Default:
Price - 500k
Materials - 50 gold bars, 20 clay, 600 wood, 500 stone
Cheap:
Price - 100k
Materials - 20 gold bars, 10 clay, 200 wood, 300 stone
Expensive:
Price - 1m
Materials - 100 gold bars, 50 clay, 999 wood, 999 stone
Capitalist:
Price - 5m
Materials - 500 gold bars, 100 clay, 999 wood, 999 stone
Wall Decorations
By default, the walls inside the planting hall are decorated for a more detailed and cozy look. If you prefer clean, undecorated walls, you can choose to disable this.
Custom Building
Enabled by default. If you want to only use the planting hall as an interior for the original greenhouse, you can remove the custom building from the game by disabling this.
Replace Greenhouse Interior
Replaces the greenhouse interior with the planting hall, as explained above. Disabled by default.
Water Basins
Enabled by default. You can remove the large water basins inside of the planting hall in order to gain more space for your equipment. There will be a water source at the side in each corner room.
Exterior Texture
If you're playing with aesthetic mods/recolors, you can choose to replace the vanilla-style building exterior with one of six alternative versions. The options are showcased in the images tab of this mod page.
Interior Texture
If you are using DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolour or Starblue Valley, this option lets you choose a matching look for the planting hall's interior map.
Unlock Condition
None by default. If you're looking for better immersion, you can use this to make the building's construction available later in the game. You can choose between unlocking it after finishing the pantry (therefore restoring the vanilla greenhouse) or unlocking it after finishing the community center (or Joja). Once the requirement is fulfilled, Robin will send you a letter informing you of the new farm building available for construction.
Installing
To install this content pack, download the mod file and extract the .zip file to the 'Mods' folder in your Stardew Valley game folder.
Compatibility (Custom Building)
Because the custom building part of this mod doesn't edit existing assets, there should be no compatibility issues with other custom building mods. Aesthetically, this mod is designed for the vanilla artstyle. I may add alternate versions to fit popular recolor/texture mods if there is a demand for it, otherwise, feel free to use my assets to create your own matching version. All necessary files can be found in the mod folder.
