Apart from the config loading/saving issue (see Bugs/Posts), very nice mod. Great customization. Hope that gets fixed.
An additional config option I think would be nice to have is to configure chances or possibility for Legendary Fish Roe spawning with above normal Quality separately; that Roe is already OP by default (even though their chance is already lower due to being 1 fish, still, the other factors can guarantee increased quality). Though I guess the increased Roe quality doesn't necessarily make "total" long-term profit larger, only profit-per-day, since the quality is lost when processing it to Aged Roe; you're just saved the time and effort of needing to use a Preserves Jar, especially if the Roe quality is Iridium, since it will then sell for the same price as Aged Roe. But regular Roe being able to be of increased quality while Legendary Roe can't could bring the now relatively underpowered regular Roe more in line.
I didn't modify anything specifically about the Legendary fish because that's really more of a balancing issue within the game itself, which is beyond what this mod is designed for. Personally, I always use one of the balancing mods to bring everything to reasonable levels.
You're right about the vanilla game balance, of course. Since quality Roe only exists with this mod (and which fish can produce quality output is the one thing not up to granular control in the config), I think it could be reasonable to provide that option. It may not be quite a trade-off that's a factor in a player's decision of what to to fill a Pond with, but being able to make the regular fish and the Legendary ones a little more different/'unique' in a Pond still seems nice to me in of itself.
Does this actually work with Aquaponics? / Walk of Life? Something is causing it to 'exterminate' the quality of the fish I put in. Note: it exterminates the quality of fish I put into the Aquaponics-enhanced Fish Pond. I don't think this is the creator's fault.
This mod is compatible with the Walk of Life mod. The bug where the first fish added to a pond was always normal quality has been fixed in version 1.1.0. I have not tested compatibility with the Aquaponics mod.
There is no guarantee that any individual fish or produced item will be a higher quality. The increased chances simply make it more likely. The more fish living in the pond, and them being higher quality, increases the chance. The longer the pond has been in continuous use increases the chance. Your fishing levels each increase the chance. Though it would be very, very unlikely, you could still get a normal quality product or fish from a full iridium pond, that's been in use for years, at fishing level 10.
It should be compatible since that mod is mostly just a Content Patcher mod for the game's FishPondData, but I didn't test it. Also, that mod hasn't been updated for newer versions where the base game lets you put legendary fish in ponds (v1.6.9) so I'm not even certain how that mod would behave in newer games.
