A simple mod that replaces all baby stages with different colored parrots based on child gender/skintone and the crib with a bird cage.

Next Planned Recolor: Cockatoos, and cockatiels. Please feel free to leave a request and I will consider adding them.

To choose the color or species you want for your specific toddler to have, find out your child's gender and/or skintone and rename the file you'd like to use to that color and overwrite the old file. Babies are only referred to by color, "Baby" and "Baby_dark" and in the case of my mod, the male sprites are default ones in each pack. The female sprites for babies will be in an alternate folder.
Toddlers are "Toddler," "Toddler_dark," "Toddler_girl," and "Toddler_girl_dark."
Do not replace toddler files with baby files and vice versa. They are not interchangeable and use entirely different formats for their animation.

Installation:
1 - Backup your files before installing this mod if you ever want to revert your child/crib/dialogue to non-bird things.
2 - Put the "Content" folder into your Stardew Valley folder, overwriting the existing files. The typical installation directory for Steam is going to be something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Stardew Valley"
3 - If you want to use the alternate female colors for babies, open the "Alternate Female Colors" folder and repeat step 2.

What it does as of 1.0:
-Replaces the baby and toddler artwork with new parrot sprites and the crib with a bird cage.
-Changes the marriage dialogue pertaining to your child to things someone might say in the context of their adopted bird-child instead.
-Changes the letter from the adoption agency to reflect your bird adoption.


What it does not as of 1.0:
-Do anything with the beds also in the crib room. Their sprites are reused in too many NPC houses to alter and manually removing them causes incompatibility issues with any mod effecting the house. (Not to mention editing such things is beyond my abilities right now.)
-Change spouse adoption and pregnancy dialogue. This is definitely on my "really want to do" list but I honestly cannot find it anywhere. I looked for ages and gave up. They will still speak as if pregnant or adopting a child until I can fix this.
-Change the behavior of the babies or add sound.

Known Issues as of 1.0
-There is a weird gap in the default wallpaper for the kids room in the vanilla game, replacing it with one you bought will fix the issue.
