About this mod
This mod remakes Sandy as fully romanceable character with hundreds of lines of dialogue, 7 new events and tones of schedule changes. Includes sprites originally made by Poltergeister (Hair piece by Tangpoponoko) edited for additional emotions/reactions/outfits.

Roses In The Sand
Roses In The Sand is a NPC expansion for Sandy. It gives her 7 new events (one of which is shared with SVE), makes her fully romanceable, adds hundreds of dialogue lines, expands upon her lore, reveals her true identity, gives her new emotions, expands her schedule, adds her to festivals past 5 hearts, gives her new outfits, gives her a spouse room/area, gives her her own music theme, etc. This mod is not just for those who want to romance her, as her general dialogue, schedule and heart events have been expanded as well.
Roses In The Sand includes relatively mature themes such as abandonment and depression (Nothing explicit or nsfw) in her backstory and some of her dialogue. Otherwise the dialogue is very tame with a focus on humor and romance.
After marriage Sandy will still go to the Oasis every other day, except Tuesdays when she always will go to Aerobics.
This mod is meant to feature a unique take on Sandy's lore while still fitting with the lore already in the vanilla game and the added lore in SVE (which isn't much).
This mod is fully compatible with SVE.

Compatibility
This mod includes edited versions of portraits and sprites for Sandy made by Poltergeister so that Sandy can express herself by more than 4 faces.
This mod is only compatible with other mods that give Sandy new portraits if they include the required emotions and outfits.
One example of a portrait mod that works with Roses In The Sand is Aelinore's Nyapu Misc. Portraits (Adorable)
For another option, HanaGee's Ohodavi Sandy Portraits also work!
Another option for a portrait replacer: Geru's Portrait's.
This mod is fully compatible with Stardew Valley Expanded
This mod is compatible with seasonal cute characters (BUT you have to disable the sandy changes in Seasonal Cute Character's Config)
This mod is probably compatible with Immersive Sandy. If you find out any incompatiblities between the two let me know!
Configuration
If you have other mods which add portraits and/or sprites for Sandy this mod has two configuration options to disable the built in changes. Note that whatever portraits replace them should include the same emotions, and that the sprites that replace them should include the same outfits (Wedding dress and workout outfit)
There is also a config option to change Sandy's "real" name. By default it is

There is also an option to disable her using her "real" name after 8 heart event if you want it to still show as Sandy.
There is also an option to use an alternative version of the 8 heart event removes some potentially triggering content.
Translations
This mod includes a translatable i18n file. If anyone would like to translate the mod they can either send me the translated i18n file or upload the translation file separately with a requirement / credit towards this page.
