Since the original mod here is no longer updated, I decided to make a similar mod of my own.
This mod allows players to skip levels in the Skull Cavern by simply pressing a button:
Press Numpad 1: jump down 1 level
Press Numpad 2: jump down 5 levels
Press Numpad 3: jump down 10 levels
Press Numpad 4: jump down 100 levels
Press Numpad 5: jump down 1000 levels
It's as simple as that! This mod is save game compatible and can be installed any time, as long as you are running SV 1.6+ and have the latest version of SMAPI.
Why numpad keys? Honestly I'm playing with a bunch of mods myself and there were not many keys left that were available to use; so I decided to use numpad keys for the input. Maybe in the future I'll change this or make it configurable via the general mod manager.
