Edit: Just uploaded my own version of this mod with new colors + menu + content patcher compatibility and it doesn't crash on the beach and other scenes anymore.
Just wanted to leave a comment here confirming that it works with the latest version. Read the instructions on the readme and both mods (visuals and sounds) work fine. I think you do have to select the first dog on the creation screen though. But I might be wrong.
I really love the sprites for your pug and I have a wee lil' derpy fella of my own irl, but SMAPI keeps telling me it can't load the mod because it doesn't have a manifest. Does anyone know of a workaround?
BEST MOD EVER. Seriously, I can't stop laughing at the little derp. it's just soooo cute. I also had to remove the derpy sound :( , wich were awesome and a plus for me. I had crashes during some of the heart events because of it. i hope it will be updated so we can profit from the sounds effects again! Thanks for the great mod in any case. It's really well done.
It also has the wrong 'tag' for Emily's parrot. It doesn't break the game, it just errors every time the parrot tries to make a sound, and results in no sound. An update would be awesome.

Game seems to crash on the beach event.
I have 35h file with cat and i would love to use this mod.
