Sweet Gem Berries are great but fustrating low yields because you have to cycle them through Seed Makers to set up another season of planting. Even then they lose out to the powerhouses that is Starfruit (Accessible via vanilla vendors) or Ancient Fruit (1/per Week Harvest ) Artisian Goods.
This mod seeks to give them a push to compete with Starfruit and Ancient Fruit Goods by categorising it as a fruit so it can be used for Wine and Jams and allowing it to regrow every 28 days.
To balance it so it doesn't blow Starfruit and Ancient Fruit away this mod reduces Sweet Gem Berries base sell price to 2600. Making keeping it in line with Ancient Fruit.
I have also added in Several new Seasonal Gem Berries, the first one can be aquired via Mail after shipping a Sweet Gem Berry for the first time (existing saves may see this come through automatically). Please be mindful you only get 1 Seed with each mail. Spring is balanced around Strawberries; Summer is balanced around Starfruit and Winter is balanced Around Powdermelon.
Planned Updates:
-Add Gift Tastes for Stardew Valley Expanded, East Scarp, Visit Mt Vapius and Ridgeside Village.
-Add New Cooking recipies involving the Gem Berries
-Add Lessi as an NPC who can trade in Gem Berries for various items
-Add a short story line to discover the secrets behind the Gem Berries
