Ahh Stardew Valley.. A beautiful place that you seek your future in after reaching rock bottom. Everything is perfectly tranquil.. the birds are chirping, the grass is swaying in the crisp valley air, the people are happy, and, most importantly, your crops and animals will thrive here! Pierre has fresh produce seeds for sale, and Marnie has an excellent selection of happy animals.
After some time, you finally decide you're ready for a little goat of your own so that you can enjoy refreshing goat milk and cheese! You purchase your new little guy and return home to check on her, but something feels.. off? You can't really place it and you trust Marnie that your new friend is perfectly healthy, so you shake it off and go about your day. Weeks pass and your beautiful goat is getting stronger and stronger by the day! One day she starts looking a bit weak. You're worried and ask Marnie, but she assures you that it is just your friend growing up and, of course, growing up takes a lot of energy! That night, you check on your goat who is fast asleep. You breathe a sigh of relief and leave the barn quietly.
The next day you slip out of bed and yawn loudly. You stumble out the door as you pull your boots up around your feet, ready to take on another beautiful morning. As you go to check on your friend you notice something is different, but what could it be? Is she okay? You walk a little bit faster to the barn, but as you open the door you're hit with the smell of.. fish? That can't be right, but surely enough, across the room walks your sweet goat, but she's not a goat anymore. She has grown scales and a fishy tail. Her body has gone from soft and fluffy to rough and scaley. You cry out in surprise, and your goat rushes to your side in concern. She's still the same goat but she looks so wrong. Her eyes shine innocently at you as you sigh deeply.
You're starting to think there's something strange about this valley, but it almost feels magical.. You pet your sweet friend and leave the barn in confusion.
