About this mod

Recolor for tools, focusing on rose iridium themes. The previous upgrades have also been recolored in their own rosey iterations. The base tools have only had the wood handles recolored.

Wow, thank you so much everyone for so many downloads!! (´,,•ω•,,)♡ I never imagined my tool set would go over this well! I'll be adding more to it over time, as well as more options for Generic Mod Config Menu.

This mod replaces all iridium tools with rose iridium variations. I was working off the idea of if iridium had a 'rose' variant, like rose gold. The handles of the tools are deep lavender to fit with the original iridium color, while the blades and main components are rose iridium: pale pink with a light purple and blue sheen. And because everything is better with flowers, I added a rose to each tool to make it literal. („• ᴗ •„)

For matching AT and FS tools, check out Rose Iridium Tools for Alternative Textures and Fashion Sense by zaoux. They did a fantastic job matching the color palette and style!

UPDATE: More tools are now included! I recolored all the upgrades to the base tools to have their own rosey themes. The flower appears as a small rose bud on the copper tools, then gets a little larger with each upgrade until it's in full bloom with the iridium tools. The wood handles on the tools have been recolored to rosewood, except for the iridium tools which have iridium handles.

The rose bobber can be selected from the bobbers menu at Willy's shop. Planning to add other cute bobbers in the future.

This ended up being a much larger project than I initially thought, and has taken a lot of troubleshooting to make things work. I'm still very new to modding, so it's been a great learning experience. ^-^ If you do experience any problems, please let me know so I can look into it.

KNOWN ISSUES:

  • Even though I redrew the animation frames for using the fishing rod, the game applies the color of the default rod overtop it and I have no idea how to prevent this. If I figure it out then I'll include the fix in an update. For now, the only way I know of to make the recolor show while fishing is to use the Fiberglass Rod, since it's colorless.

  • If you use Fashion Sense and have a short/girl character, the panning animation will always display the rose iridium pan. This has to do with how the files are set up for Fashion Sense. The panning animation only has one color set instead of four. I haven't been able to find any way around this, so I'm sorry for that inconsistency.

HOW TO INSTALL:

To install the mod, copy "[CP] Rose Iridium Tools and Weapons by Luny" into your StardewValley/mods folder. Make sure you have Smapi and Content Patcher up to date.

If you don't use Fashion Sense or don't care about the recolor on the panning animation, you don't have to do anything else.

If you do use Fashion Sense and you want the recolor of the pan to show in the panning animation, just copy and paste the "FashionSense" folder into the same location as the Fashion Sense mod (typically StardewValley/mods). If done correctly, you should get a prompt to replace files. Choose yes to replace them, and you're good to go!

The files being replaced are the two images that contain the sprites for the panning animation. The pan is the only change to the files.

The panning animation should now display the Rose Iridium recolor. Note that, because of how the image is set up for Fashion Sense, the short body type will display the recolored pan regardless of which pan you actually use. This is just how FS currently works and has nothing to do with the working of my mod.
