There is no better way to make decisions or resolve differences than a game of rock paper scissors. This mod lets you play it with your farmer friends!
When you press the appropriate keybind ("R" on a keyboard or "Left Stick" on a gamepad by default), a symbol will appear above your head for everyone to see that signals that you are ready for a game of Rock Paper Scissors. Other players may then press the same keybind and approach you (or press it after approaching) to accept your challenge, at which point you two will have 3 seconds to choose what move to play. Do you play rock? Or are you more of a scissors kind of person? If you don't make a selection, paper will be chosen for you. At the end of those three seconds, both of your moves are revealed, and the winner determined.
(If you are already close enough to someone who has already signaled that they want to play, pressing the keybind will immediately start the game with them).
Other players who are not involved with your game will also see when you are playing, and will also see what the results are, provided they are in the same location and can see you in the first place, of course. No one gets left out, and everyone can play, though matches are naturally limited to two participants.

Configuration
There is only one configuration option in this mod to adjust the keybind used to start/accept a game of rock paper scissors. By default, it is "R" on the keyboard or "Left Stick" (as in, click the left stick) on a gamepad. Please use Generic Mod Config Menu to adjust the keybinds to your liking. If you change the keybind to a keyboard key, it will retain the gamepad keybind as well. Similarly, if you change the keybind to a gamepad button, it will retain the keyboard keybind as well.
For example, if the default keybind is "R or Left Stick," and you change it to "G" instead, the new keybind will be "G or Left Stick." If you then change the keybind again and set it to Right Trigger on the gamepad, the new keybind will be "G and Right Trigger."
Known Issues
Aside from not working in split-screen multiplayer (which will not be fixed), I am currently unaware of any issues or mod incompatibilities. However, the mod has only been tested with up to 4 connected players. Testing with 4 players is difficult enough to do alone, let alone with any more, so it is possible there are still issues I have not noticed depending on how many players are connected or how many players are playing rock paper scissors at one time. If you notice any issues, please make a bug report!

- Extract the mod into Stardew Valley/Mods.

FAQ
- Does this work with split-screen multiplayer? No, and I have no plans on adding support for it for complexity reasons. If you are able to play split-screen multiplayer, just play rock paper scissors in real life.
- What about non-split-screen LAN? Yes, this will work in LAN multiplayer.
- Is there full controller support? Yes! There is a keybind for controllers to start/request a match, and when playing a game of rock paper scissors, both the left and right joysticks can be used to select your move.
- How close do two players need to be to play? They need to be within approximately two tiles of each other.
- Why doesn't anything happen when I press the keybind? Assuming the mod is installed properly, this is likely because you are trying to test it in singleplayer. The mod will not function at all if you are not in a multiplayer game.
