I am tired of my precious bait get wasted by RNG so I made it so that wild bait, targeted bait (made by bait maker) and magnet bait will not be consumed if they failed to catch what they are supposed to catch.
I made this without harmony because I am too afraid to modify game code
I made this initially for my personal use so if you encounter any problem, please let me know

Feature
Wild bait: If you catch anything other than double fish (including non-fish like trash, algae, etc) while equipping wild bait, it will not be consumed. Can also force wild bait to always catch double fish (excluding legendary fish).
Targeted bait: If you catch anything other than the fish mentioned by the bait (including non-fish) while equipping targeted bait, it will not be consumed. Can also force targeted bait to catch that fish if possible
Magnet bait: If you do not encounter a treasure chest while playing the fishing minigame while equipping magnet bait, it will not be consumed; if a treasure chest appears but you do not catch it, bait will be consumed. Can also force treasure to appear if not fishing during festival.

How to use
Extract and put in the Mods folder

Config
Run the game with this mod at least once to generate config.json file
All following options are true by default:
  • MagnetBaitEnabled: Enable mod for magnet bait
  • WildBaitEnabled: Enable mod for wild bait
  • TargetedBaitEnabled: Enable mod for targeted bait
All following options are false by default and will only work if the respective bait option above is enabled
  • ForceTreasure: Force treasure to appear when using magnet bait
  • ForceDoubleFish: Force wild bait to catch double fish
  • ForceTargetedFish: Force targeted bait to catch the targeted fish
Compatible with Generic Mod Config Menu

Compatibility
Only tested on Windows
Compatible with my other mod Only Fish Consume Bait
Have not tested if there are other mods conflict
Have not tested in multiplayer, but it should be compatible
Reportedly not compatible with Fish Bonanza => should be fixed in 0.3.0

Limitation
If you notice that you sometimes get an addtional bait while hooking something up, worry not I make sure that additional bait is not exploitable (probably)
