About this mod

Just a small Content Patcher mod that enables the Crystalarium to clone most-to-all useful mineral/metal materials, including the ores, bars, and the Prismatic Shard. Cloning times have been balanced to make this a simple, consistent, and rather slow way of doing this compared to scouring the dungeons. Supports GMCM now, to set your own times, too!

PRISMATIC CLONING
and More~★

With the advent of SDV 1.6, and the changes that came with it to make modding even easier, an old favourite mod of mine was noted to be still outdated and "something you could implement in Content Patcher now." That mod was Custom Crystalarium Mod by Digus.

So, that's precisely what I did! (within the limitations of the game's item categories, at least, so a few weird ones are in here)

Now, I'm still learning how to mod for SDV, so there's not yet an in-game configuration menu entry for it (though I do consider that something I'd like to add at some point). That shouldn't really be much of a problem, though, since it's designed to be one half of the trade-off already established for the other gems: you can either go to the dungeon for a chance at getting a lot of them quickly...or you can use the Crystalarium at home to guarantee you'll get them, but at the cost of time and having an initial "source" gem to clone from.

The newly-included items are as follows:

  • Ores
  • Bars
  • Coal
  • Cinder Shards
  • Dragon's Teeth
  • Bone Fragments
  • Prismatic Shards
  • Geodes (Group Toggle)
  • Artifact Troves (Toggle)
  • Golden Coconuts (Toggle)
  • Mystery Boxes (Group Toggle)
  • Prize Tickets (Toggle | see FAQ below)

Aaaaaaaand...

!!GMCM SUPPORT IS HERE!!

You can now set the duplication time for ANY item added to the Crystalarium by this mod! The original, sorta-balanced values are listed in the descriptions, and will be defaulted to if you leave the boxes blank, too! So if you want a Prismatic Shard every 10 minutes, then have fun!

And yes, you eagle-eyed nerds, the header and the single mod image are the same scene, with the header colour-corrected.
Because what all am I supposed to screenshot here? It's a tiny code-side patch! There's no new imagery to be had!

How To Install:
Put it in your Stardew Valley/Mods folder

How To Uninstall:

FAQ

Can I Install This In An Ongoing Save?
Yes, the changes should auto-apply.

Can I Uninstall This Without Breaking My Save?
Yes, the changes shouldn't persist. However, make sure to remove any clonables this mod enables beforehand, just to be safe.

Can I Submit A Translation For This?

You can put them up as your own translation files here on Nexus or wherever, that's fine!
I'd offer to also incorporate them innately into the mod, but with my life being a bit hectic, it'd be a slow and very inconsistent process, sorry!

I Hate The Dungeons, Can I Use This With Automate?

I do, and it works just fine. This only changes the Crystalarium internal recipes and triggers lists, not the device, itself. You also will need Automate for that to happen, since none of that is included here in PC&M by default.

Why are Prize Tickets included? They're Not a Mineral or Metal!
They are not, no. They are, however, technically a type of geode. And I find that incredibly hilarious, and technically relevant on a conceptual level, so I added it. Thank you to SpicyDandelion: it wasn't my mod that let you do it in the first place, but by bringing it to my attention, it sure is now!

All of These are Cheating! You're Cheating! <<Sekiro Copypasta>>
Those aren't questions, the mod is pre-balanced regardless of toggled options, and this is a singleplayer game. Play it however you enjoy it. Set all the timers to 10 minutes, with Automate connecting rows and rows of Crystalaria together. Games are supposed to be fun. Kinda disappointed I have to even say that.

Credits and Special Thanks
ConcernedApe/Eric Barone: For making Stardew Valley, and also for the bit of trigger code I had to include in the mod to make it stop breaking the Crystalarium entirely for the grave sin of trying to make it do more stuff.
PathosChild - None of this would even work without SMAPI and Content Patcher
Digus - For both Custom Crystalarium Mod, and their stickied post on the mod's page, that inspired me to do exactly this mod.
