About this mod
This mod adds 24 rival heart events (6 event chains) and 50+ lines of dynamic dialogue. Current rival events available include: Leah&Elliott, Penny&Sam, Harvey&Maru, Haley&Alex, Clint&Emily, and Seb&Abigail. Designed so you won't see spouse related rival events. Compatible with 1.3.

Mal's Rival Heart Events with Dynamic Dialogue
Growing up, I played a lot of Harvest Moon, and was missing the Rival Heart events while playing through Stardew Valley. So, I decided to add some!
Installation:
1. Have SMAPI and Content Patcher installed.
2. Unzip the folder into your Stardew Valley folder.
3. Enjoy!

Some Notes on How to Use:
This mod is designed so that you can effectively "kill" any rival event chains. A pre-requisite event occurs between one of your rivals where they will ask your advice. If you decide not to give them advice, you will not see the any of the following rival events related to that character. If you give them advice, they will be happy and that will unlock the rival event chain involving that character.
Alex&Haley Event Chain
Advice Pre-Requisite Event:
You must have either Haley or Alex at 4 hearts. This unlocks the ability to see one of their (but not both) advice events. They will ask you for some advice. If you choose not to give any advice, you will not be able to see any of the following rival events. If you have the marriage required file, you must have seen a non-Haley and non-Alex spouse pre-requisite event.
Haley's Event:
This can be seen once Haley is at 4 hearts or more. Enter Haley's House on any day other than Monday and Friday while she is present. Haley asks you for some advice.
Alex's Event:
This can be seen once Alex is at 4 hearts or more. Enter Alex's house on any day other than Monday and Friday while he is present. Enter Alex's House. Alex asks you for some advice.
Rival Event 1:
After seeing one of Alex's or Haley's advice events, enter the forest on a sunny day in any season but winter. It must be between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Haley is taking pictures, and Alex wants to learn more!
Rival Event 2:
After seeing Rival Event 1 for Alex&Haley, enter the beach on a sunny summer day while Alex is present on the map. Alex and Haley spend a day at the beach taking pictures and playing catch!
Sam&Penny Event Chain
Advice Pre-Requisite Event:
You must have either Sam or Penny at 4 hearts. This unlocks the ability to see one of their (but not both) advice events. They will ask you for some advice. If you choose not to give any advice, you will not be able to see any of the following rival events. If you have the marriage required file, you must have seen a non-Penny and non-Sam spouse pre-requisite event.
Sam's Event:
Sam must be at 4 hearts. Enter Sam's house on any day other than Monday or Friday while Sam is present. Sam asks you for some advice.
Penny's Event:
Penny must be at 4 hearts. Enter the trailer while Penny is present. Penny asks you for some advice.
Rival Event 1:
Enter the town area while Penny is present after seeing either Sam's or Penny's advice event. It must be a Monday, Thursday, or Sunday. The weather must be sunny and it cannot be winter. The time must be between 8:00 am and 12:30 pm. Penny is reading a book about Solarian Chronicles, and Sam is curious!
Rival Event 2:
Enter Sam's house while Sam is present on a rainy day. You must have seen Sam&Penny's first rival event. Sam teaches Penny how to play Solarian Chronicles! Thank you to tenthousandcats for giving me this awesome idea.
Elliott&Leah Event Chain
Advice Pre-Requisite Event:
You must have either Leah or Elliott at 4 hearts. This unlocks the ability to see one of their (but not both) advice events.They will ask you for some advice. If you choose not to give any advice, you will not be able to see any of the following rival events. If you have the marriage required file, you must have seen a non-Leah and non-Elliott spouse pre-requisite event.
Leah's Event:
Leah must have 4 hearts. Enter her cottage while she is present. Leah will ask you for some advice.
Elliott's Event:
Elliott must have 4 hearts. Enter his cabin while he is present. Elliott will ask you for some advice.
Rival Event 1:
Enter the beach on a sunny day while Elliott is present. You must have seen one of the advice pre-requisite events. Elliott and Leah go exploring to help Elliott get over his writer's block!
Rival Event 2:
Enter Elliott's cabin after you have seen the first rival event between Leah and Elliott. Leah listens to Elliott play the piano, then is so inspired she sketches for a while. A cute event between Elliott and Leah.
Harvey&Maru Event Chain
Advice Pre-Requisite Event:
You must have either Harvey or Maru at 4 hearts. This unlocks the ability to see one of their (but not both) advice events. If you choose not to give any advice, you will not be able to see any of the following rival events. If you have the marriage required file, you must have seen a non-Harvey and non-Maru spouse pre-requisite event. They will ask you for some advice.
Maru's Event:
Maru must have 4 hearts. Enter the science house while she is present on any day but Monday. Maru will ask you for some advice.
Harvey's Event:
Harvey must have 4 hearts. Enter his room between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm on any day but Tuesday and Thursday. Harvey will ask you for some advice.
Rival Event 1:
Enter the clinic while Maru is present. Maru learns that it's Harvey's dream to fly and she comes up with the perfect idea!
Rival Event 2:
Enter the train area any day but Tuesday and Thursday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Maru helps make Harvey's dream a reality!
Sebastian&Abigail Event Chain
Advice Pre-Requisite Event:
You must have either Harvey or Maru at 4 hearts. This unlocks the ability to see one of their (but not both) advice events. They will ask you for some advice. If you choose not to give any advice, you will not be able to see any of the following rival events. If you have the marriage required file, you must have seen a non-Sebastian and non-Abigail spouse pre-requisite event.
Abigail's Event:
Abigail must have 4 hearts. Enter the seed shop while she is present on any day but Monday and Friday. Abigail will ask you for some advice.
Sebastian's Event:
Sebastian must have 4 hearts. Enter his room while he is present. Sebastian will ask you for some advice.
Rival Event 1:
Enter the saloon while Sebastian is present after having given advice to either Sebastian or Abigail. Sebastian and Abigail play some Prairie King!
Rival Event 2:
After having seen the previous rival event, enter the mountains between 6:00 pm and 11:50 pm. It cannot be winter. Sebastian and Abigail decide to explore the mines!
Emily&Clint Event Chain

Clint's Advice Event:
Able to view after seeing Clint's 6 heart event, at the saloon, while Clint is present. If you choose to offer him advice, it'll unlock the following 2 events.
Rival Event 1:
Clint breaks some geodes for Emily. Viewable on a rainy day between 9:00am and 4:00pm. Any day but Friday, enter the town area to see the event.
Rival Event 2:
Clint and Emily go to the desert together. Viewable on any sunny Friday between 9:00am and 12:00pm while Pam is present at the bus stop. Enter the bus stop area to see the event.
