About this mod
Inspired by mods which replaced Maru with her beta appearance, as well as the darker Demetrius mod, I decided to take the beta design Maru and "fuse" her with her modern self, as well as darken her and give her some other tweaks. Beta portraits originally provided by Galebourn, reposted by others such as Thoroughly.

Like other sprite edits, simply replace the XNB files of the character and portrait files, respectively, with the ones I provide and enjoy! Let me know of any issues or possible mistakes.
With the content patcher update, you no longer need to tinker with XNB file replacing! Simply extract the mod into your Stardew mods folder after installing SMAPI and Content Patcher! For convenience or if needed, the older XNB file version will be kept up.
Installation
- Darkening her skin
- Fusing her modern facial features with some beta features, such as her beta hair
- Changing her hair color to maintain contrast; making her hair color similar to her her half brother's clothing to match thematically
- Giving her overworld sprites her beta, longer hair when possible, even when in her nurse outfit.
With the content patcher update, you no longer need to tinker with XNB file replacing! Simply extract the mod into your Stardew mods folder after installing SMAPI and Content Patcher! For convenience or if needed, the older XNB file version will be kept up.
Installation
- Install both SMAPI and Content Patcher
- Unzip or extract folder into your Stardew Valley mods folder.
