No SMAPI needed


Firstly, thanks to Jadziyah for the idea to do this. However, since Andy Warhol's art is just painful to look at, I initially made a couple of O'Keeffes and a Rodin and then obviously got kinda carried away. So now a few months later my house looks nothing like Stardew Valley


This mod replaces or retouches almost everything that isn't a table or a chair. That includes 23 paintings, 20 statues (5 Rodin, 1 Donatello & 14 Nintendo), 8 Persian rugs (or Afghan, not entirely sure about a few), and assorted other junk. All of the art is tasteful & public domain, except maybe for Bob Ross. I tried to avoid being too cliche w/ the choice of art, but after all that's kinda the point of this game, and thus I kept Starry Night, Persistence of Memory and the Mona Lisa. By all means feel free to swap out whatever you want if it brings back bad memories from college or something

How to:

1) dl

2) extract and open folder. now open a new window

3) find your Stardew Valley game folder and open the Content folder. If you use Steam, gods help you, but hopefully you know where your game files are. Otherwise, it'll be something like:
C:\Users\Owner\Downloads\Stardew.Valley.v1.2.31\Stardew.Valley.v1.2.31\Content

4) in the Tilesheets folder, find the file furniture.xnb and make a backup. always make backups

5) copy/paste new .xnb file into the Tilesheets folder

6) done



This is very much a work in progress,  so any lucid ideas or reasoned suggestions would be much appreciated, because I'm running out of both. Please bear in mind, I've probably already tried whatever the first thing you think of is, and didn't use it because it either didn't fit the games' milieu or doesn't fit the limited spaces in any coherent manner. The bookcases are 32x48, tall statues 16x48, and the scarecrows/short statues are only 16x32, and subtract 4 for the base etc...

And no, short of outlandish bribery, I will absolutely not be making any more Mario-related stuff, or anything at all to do w/ Final Fantasy. If you want it, by all means dl xnbnode and draw it yourself
