About this mod

A challenge mode mod that makes working expensive. Running out of money is lethal, sending you straight back to the title screen. And don't try to sleep away your days waiting for crops to grow - sleeping is costly too!

I do not recommend using this mod on save files you care about. You risk losing precious money, or maybe more!

WHAT IS THIS MOD?
This mod is intended to be a challenge-style mod that forces you to re-think the way you play Stardew. It is HIGHLY recommended you only play on new files, just in case you cause precious money loss or worse on a farm you care about.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Your wellbeing is tied to your net worth.. Run out of money, and you..... well, the game resets to the menu and nothing else happens.

The relationship between wellbeing and net-worth is bidirectional. Doing work sucks, it makes you feel terrible, and it costs you money. Actions that set you back include:
* Walking - it's a tough slog, and every tile moved will cost you a coin.
* Hoeing/Chopping/Picking - these actions will cost you various amounts of coin.
* Fishing - It's a difficult process, ok!
* Milking and shearing - I am sure you'll manage to still make some profit out of your livestock... Maybe?
* Sleeping - don't hibernate yourself into a deep depression.

WHAT IS THE GOAL?
The initial cost of doing work has been completely made up, and I'm simply interested to see how far someone could push the game with it. Maybe you can complete the community center, or maybe you're broke by day 4... Let me know!

WHAT ARE THE FUTURE ASPIRATIONS FOR THIS MOD?
Honestly this mod will be my playground as I learn to do things with the Stardew modding tools. Things I'd like to do to make this a well-produced, enjoyable mod to use include:
* Providing various difficulty presets that control how outrageous the difficulty is. (this will have to be informed by some actual playtesting, which I will do and I hope others will do it with me).
* In game menus to interact with the mod settings
* Implementation of additional challenging ideas

FEEEDBACK
Hit me up and I'll put in my best effort to ensure that this mod actually becomes something people can share and enjoy in the longrun.
