Mod Purpose:
- To add in better portraits (The images were created using Stable Diffusion along with the Divine Elegance model from CivitAi.)
- To enable easy genderbending for those who want to do it. (Presently only for bachelors and bachelorettes in Vanilla Stardew Valley and SVE, but this MAY be updated later for modded expansions.)
Use:
- Add this mod to the Stardew Valley/Mods folder on your system.
- Open the config.json file for each mod you are using and activate whatever portraits/genderbends are desired by changing the values to "true"/"false".
- Enjoy!
- If you do not have Stardew Valley Expanded or Ridgeside Village, you can either delete the extra files or add a full stop to the folder itself to deactivate it without deleting it. (E.G. "Adomin8er_s HD SVE Portraits" -> ".Adomin8er_s HD SVE Portraits")
VERSION 2.0 UPDATE:
- This mod has been completely redone and overhauled to remove reliance on other mods beyond Spacecore.
- Genderbased conversations are now token based and have been more thoroughly future-proofed.
- Images for all characters should work now (Including Vendors)
- Separate each content pack into Main and Optional Files.
- This is in a SEMI-FINISHED state as per my desires but can be improved with help from others. It is also a massive update in the backend, so please report bugs if you encounter them.

HELP NEEDED:
Stardew Valley Expanded
- This is only lacking a sprite sheet for Scarlett but I do not have any desires to do it at the moment. If you would like to help with this, free to let me know. Once the sprite sheet is created, I already have the text for ALL of Scarlett's (Skyler's) interactions tokenized to use alternate names/pronouns for any of the bachelors or bachelorettes.
- This is completely set up and prepared for genderbending, but I do not have any desires to create the sprite sheets for gender bent versions of characters. If you would like to contribute to adding in a new gender bent character, feel free to let me know. Once the sprite sheet is created, I already have the text for ALL of Ridgeside village tokenized to use alternate names/pronouns for any of the bachelors or bachelorettes.
- Similar to SVE and RSV, I am willing to complete all of the coding required to make these gender bendable but I do not want to do the sprite sheets. I am already doing sprite sheets for other mods and just don't want to commit to other mods. Do not feel nervous about reaching out though as I would love to see other mods added to this list!
- IMPORTANT: I will NOT do any version XTARDEW valley or similar concept. I do not want to create porn. It is just a personal choice and as I am raising 2 kids right now I ask that you do not push for this.
NON HD Portraits
- If you have any desires to help create non-HD portraits (standard Stardew Style) for the gender bent characters, let me know or submit images to match the current sprite sheets. I am a good 3d modeler and pretty good at various other forms of art, but I (clearly) use AI to help me make these ones because I have other talents that I choose to pursue. This would be a great opportunity for anyone to contribute and allow others to use this mod even if they dislike the HD portraits since everything is already configurable.
Inspiration
- This was built thanks to inspiration from Jier's HD Portraits for SDV and Jier's HD Portraits for SVE. If you haven't used those mods yet, go check them out. They are GORGEOUS!
- The genderbending aspect was created using StardewValley_Girl-byAdarin and quickly escalated to more but still keeps the overworld sprites from Adarins' project (with a few changes to Shane and others)
- Daegan1806 for helping with character data values for genderbent characters.
