Configuration
In config.json you can find these options:

  • Keyboard : The key to use when you play using keyboard. Default X.
  • Controller : The button to use when you play using controller. Default Left Thumbstick.
  • EnableReselectOldToolPosition : Reselect tool position to where it was prior emptying hands when you switch items with mouse scroll wheel or controller right/left trigger button. Default true, but you should turn this off and report to me if you experience any weird behavior.

You can configure the key binding to use multiple key combinations; for example, if you want the hotkey to be a combination of Left Alt + X, you can edit it like this:

"Keyboard": "LeftAlt + X"

GMCM does this automatically for you, but if you prefer editing it directly, you can refer to Key Bindings to see the list of possible keys.

Keep in mind that even though it is possible to use multiple key combinations in the Controller option, I don't really think that's a good idea since I don't know very well every button function and am playing Stardew with mouse and keyboard.

Compatibility
This mod is compatible with:

  • Generic Mod Config Menu. You can change the configuration in the GMCM config menu.
  • Any mods that do not conflict with this mod's functionality.

Although 99% of mods should be compatible, there's a slight chance that it may not work correctly. In that case, please refer to Bug Reports.

Source code.

This mod was inspired by Oblitus/quicksilverfox's long-lost Empty Hands. It was no longer available on Nexus; only the source code is available on GitHub. I just took the logic behind it, re-simplified it, and integrated it with GMCM. To wherever you are, whether or not you're still active in the Stardew community, thank you!
