Thanks so much for updating this. We all really appreciate your hard work and dedication to this! Keep your chin up, and stay strong. You are not alone in this world <3
I like it that way. But, as explained in the description, you can simply download and replace the children with the ones you like. For them to have the same style that the rest you can download the version of Sebastian's children you like from Babies Take After Spouse (link in the description).
I always saw Sebastian as the emo goth kid who dyes is hair black. Never saw it as his natural colour. That being said, I like that we can use the Sebastian files from the Babies Take After Spouse upload. Having options is always good.
I know this is a wee bit old, but I thought it was weird and came to comments for it as well- Abigail also dyes her hair according to her mother but that baby has purple hairx) im glad we can swap them though.
Well to be fair it says she used to dye her hair but hasn't in a while, and despite that it's stayed purple since (suspiciously the same shade as another character in the game, skin and hair.)
This is something I've long wanted, but I do have one situation I need to address. I'm using the Looking for Love mod, which allows us to marry others such as Marnie or Sandy, so I kinda want to ask if it were possible to have folder options for them.
If it's as simply as simply making a folder that says "Clint" and sticking the appropriate Baby and Toddler xnb in, that'd be great, but I don't know if that would work and I don't have kids on my save yet with Marnie so I can't exactly check to see if it's working.
This mod is really great! I bet it took a lot of work to make, and I appreciate it because I know I couldn't make this happen myself ,,
But I do have one problem. My SDV character is not white, but my children with this mod, are always white. I unpacked the XNB files and took a look at the sprite sheets for the children, and maybe something went wrong, but they're all white, including the ones on the sprite sheet with "dark" in the title.
the description said he took the textures from this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1756?tab=posts. They have a black baby alternate, try to put that texture in the slot of your spouse and see if it changes.
I love this mod a bunch! But I have a bit of a request. I completely understand if you don't want to do this, but thanks in advance for hearing me out. It bothers me that when I adopt a kid, it looks like it belongs to one of the other marriage candidates. It'd sort of ruin my immersion if it seems like I've stolen Abigail's kid or something. I want to make skins for kids that aren't related to any of the other villagers, but I wouldn't know the first thing about having the mod only choose from that pool of skins when choosing the appearance of the adopted kid. I was just wondering if there was any chance you could implement a way to give us more control over the adoption selection? Either way, I'm going to continue using this mod, but it would be really nice to have more control over that feature. I hope you're doing better!
I was really happy to find this mod, but I can't use it.
[Children Like Parent]File ?????Toddler_girl.xnb Not Found Keeping Vanila texture. [Children Like Parent]File ?????Baby.xnb Not Found Keeping Vanila texture.
This sentense keep appear and babies are still have Vanila appearence.
It turns out that the mod uses your spouse's name when it searches for the corresponding folder. It means that if you're playing in a different language, you might need to rename your spouse's folder to match his/her ingame name.
That also gave me an idea that it's probably possible to use this mod with custom spouses from other mods by simply adding folders for them.
A question: in the description, it says to place the xnb files in the maps in the Children Like Parent mod. However, when I download the Babies/Toddlers take after Parent mods, there are no xnb files. Where am I supposed to put those files (from those two mods)? In the mod folder or in the CLP maps?
I know this comment is old, but just in case somebody else like me is confused: I found out that taking the png files, putting them in the corresponding folders, renaming them the same as the xnb files ( e.g. "Toddler", "Toddler_girl", etc.), and moving the xnb files you want to replace somewhere other than the folder worked perfectly for me.

The mod has been now updated to work correctly with 1.3.
Please report any bugs in multiplayer. It should work fine, but I haven't been able to exhaustively test it.
Please, to report ANY possible bug, use the "bugs" tab, not the comments below.
