    Is this mod still maintained?
    Yep. The original author is no longer active, but I'm keeping it compatible with game/SMAPI updates and fixing critical issues. This mod has a "supported mods" priority for other improvements.

    hello is there any plans to put a feature of changing the percentage chance of these legendary fishes to be caught? like let's say having the fishies with a less than 3% chance hook rate so that it's not as overpowered in terms of making money

    the mod is near perfect but would be even better if the percentage chance to hook was tuneable cause in the summer i'd fish and end up getting hundreds of crimsonfish and paired up with a smoker and artisan it becomes crazy at making money

      Hi! I'm certainly interested in ideas to make it more balanced. For example, we could maybe have an option to limit each legendary fish to one per day?

      I like the idea.  Adding a configurable % chance to catch would be a good start.  I would set it to 1% myself.

      that sounds like a great option! im currently playing coop and the money is just ridiculous that it kind of ruins the experience for us, maybe making it fully customizable through a slider in game per legendary fish?

      maybe something like daily luck can also affect how many of the legendary fishies you can catch per day cause in my experience if we're lucky on any day we just head straight to the mines/skullcavern and that's our only option, it would be a nice change to have other activities to be considered by the players based on daily luck

      im imagining something like you'd have an option for base # legendary fish caught per day, and then you'd have another slider of extra # legendary fish if lucky that day

      yea, i think 1 per day is pretty balanced, you could also make it so it can only be "recatched" if you complete the cc or joja
      because in early game it is pretty op, but if you complete cc or joja you would be in more middle game

    Hi, love the mod for letting me catch legendary fish as much as I want, do you have any plans on making a mod that allows legendary fish to be put in ponds and have them produce items and roe?

      I'm glad you like it! I don't have any plans for a mod like that, but you could add it to the mod ideas list.

    hey i noticed that this mod has been updated for 1.6, is there any chance that a way to re catch the ridgeside legendaries will be added? for some reason they have to be shipped and i have already caught them.

      Hi! The mod should now work with custom legendary fish if they set "CatchLimit": 1 in Data/Locations and add the fish_legendary context tag. You could try asking on the Ridgeside Village mod page whether their legendary fish work that way (and how they're limited if not).

      hey so i was testing this mod to see if i could just catch them, but i realized that visible fish shows you what fish are actually obtainable. so the angler showed up in the water, however the sockeye salmon (rsv legendary) did not. so it must work differently, however i have zero clue how. i have still not recieved a reply to my question of how the fish work, but maybe youd have a better chance of getting a reply over there.

      I'm not sure how Visible Fish works, but in Stardew Valley 1.6 this mod just edits Data/Fish to remove CatchLimit. The mod is open-source if you're curious; here's the relevant code for that part.

      it does allow recatching RSV legendary fish, I'm playing 1.6 and just caught a second deep ridge angler and was super surprised cause it didn't work in 1.5

    Just tested with legendary fish baits and they don't seem to work even in the right conditions. Since the game doesn't allow a second catch anyways, I wonder if the legend bait is just a placeholder?

      The specific fish bait just increases the base chance by 66%, so it should work with legendary fish too. Some legendary fish are uncommon though; for example, that would raise the chance of Legend from 10% to 16%, which isn't a huge increase.

    Is there a config setting that would let me limit this at all? like maybe once per legendary fish per season? Ty for keeping the mod updated and replying to us all.

      Not currently. There are changes in the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6 which will make that sort of configuration much easier though.

    Hi, 

    Quick question: I'm in a multiplayer game, everything worked well and suddenly the fish just disapperaed from the tab given by Teh's mod. And it's nowhere to be seen, even if the conditions are met. 

    Is it a bug? If so, how can I solve it?

    Hello, thank you so much for this mod for helping me regain legendary fish to ensure iridium quality XDDD!
    btw, is there a config setting that allows the legendary fish in other mods (such as RSV) to be caught again?

      Hi! Not currently, but the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6 changes how legendary fish work. Once this mod is updated for it, it should be possible to automatically support custom legendary fish too.

      Hi! Currently the mod has a predefined list of legendary fish IDs. I'll see if I can get a change in the next game update that lets mods specify which fish are legendary in the data assets instead.

    Help. I seem to cannot catch the Legend fish after having sold 20 of them through the shipping bin in Spring 3. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, it's raining, my fishing level is 10, it is Spring, and I am fishing in the mountain lake (in the exact same spot where I caught them on Spring 3). But I can't seem to catch anymore after catching a lot of them in Spring 3.

    The other fishing mods I have is Eidee Easy Fishing, and Fast Animations, and have increased Fish speed to max 20.

    Weird thing is, I can still catch Mutant Carps, even on two separate days, but I did not sell any yet through the shipping bin BUT I did sell 12 of them through Willy directly. Maybe it's because I sold through the shipping bin is why I can't catch anymore?? 

    I am going to try and fish again but this time with Common Legendary Fish mod to see if anything changes.

      Hi! Selling the fish won't affect this mod, since it just makes the game forget you've caught it before when fishing. There's only a 10% chance of getting that fish each time though, so you might have just been unlucky. You could try using a Curiosity Lure to double the chance.

      UPDATE:

      I humbly apologize for my dumbass @modauthor. It seems that I was just very very very unlucky I tried to fish again and it took me 8 in-game hours, from 10AM to 7PM, before the freaking fish took a bite. Again, sorry for the false alarm.
