About this mod
Retextures of Stardew's food with the aim to bring a lore-friendly touch of realism, paying great attention to recipe ingredients for a more immersive experience.

Fresher Food provides complete re-sprites of every food and non-alcoholic drink in the game with a fully customizable collection of serveware with the aim to produce a more consistent aesthetic. While this aesthetic isn't necessarily true-to-vanilla, the intention was to provide sprites that would fit into almost every type of load order.
To assist with this, several sprites have alternate versions available via your config file, all of which are shown in the image gallery after the default versions. Generally, whenever I decided to deviate from how the game handles a particular food - like how I decided it would make more sense for the item "Cookie" to be a single cookie rather than 3 of them - I have provided an alternative sprite which is more similar to vanilla. If you prefer the vanilla sprite for an item, or have a different replacer you would rather use, you can just set it to "off" in the config.
The only exception to this is "Cookie" because I thought the vanilla sprite actually looked really nice on my plates so you have the option of setting that to "Vanilla" which will overlay the vanilla sprite over whichever color of plate you set "CookiePlate" to (see image 6 for a visual guide).
By default, food items use a color of serveware which I think makes the sprite look best, however each one can be changed individually in the config (or ideally using Generic Mod Config Menu). If you want everything possible to be on a matching set of pink plates/bowls/dishes, go ahead! Alternatively, if you would prefer a sprite not be on/in a plate/bowl/dish then you can set it to "off" and have your plate-less pizza like the heathen you are.

To avoid potential issues with floating plates with no sprite when attempting to disable a sprite but forgetting the serveware option, setting a sprite to "Off" means it WILL NOT be replaced, including the serveware.

Requirements & Compatibility
Only requires SMAPI and Content Patcher, but I highly recommend using Fresher Food alongside cometkins' Better Crops and Foraging and Artisan Goods as these are the inspiration for this mod. However, it is worth noting that by default Fresher Food's Coffee and Green Tea override those from Better Artisan Goods, meaning that you will need to disable them in the config if you would prefer to keep those specific sprites from Better Artisan Goods.
Installation
You can find a complete basics guide to installing mods here. For the vast majority of mods (including all of mine), simply follow that guide and then extract the .rar or .zip file provided by the modder into your Mods folder using a program like winzip, 7zip, or winrar.
