The sprites, the images and the (incredible) design all belong to sallychan, and their accounts will be linked below. As for myself, I only made their mod available for Content Patcher as theirs was sadly outdated, and I also added the beach sprites as well.
I asked for their permission to do it beforehand and upload it here and they agreed. Thank you so much!
And now, to the description of the mod, quoting the original creator’s message:
Alex's sprite always bugged me a bit because he talks so often about tanning and being tan, and his portrait has a much darker complexion in comparison. His hair is also really combed and neat looking in his sprite, unlike his spiky haired portrait. So I edited his sprite sheet to match his portrait better, with a tan, spiky gelled hair, and (as a bonus) those rippling muscles!

How to install and use:
Download and install SMAPI and ContentPatcher.
Download the mod.
Extract it and drag the folder “[CP] Portrait-Accurate Alex Sprite” to your Mods folder.
Launch the game and find Alex!
Done!
