disclaimer: this mod is a 1.5 update & fix for the original mod by campanulamis (mioudew) which can be found here. the original mod has several issues (overwriting newer game content, overriding language selection, some minor grammatical problems), so i remade a content patcher mod for it. there is already a working content patcher version which can be found here, however mine is different because the mermaids do not change with the seasons, instead they are configurable.
**i have never modded stardew valley before this, so if there are any bugs/errors/suggestions you have please let me know.**

this is a configurable stardew valley mod that replaces the old mariner with a mermaid. you can choose which mermaid to replace him with in the configs.
known issues:
❀ the mermaid dialogue will only activate if you have your language set to english. however, the mermaid sprite will still activate regardless of the language.
❀ all three mermaids have essentially the same dialogue.
installation:
1. requires the latest version of content patcher & smapi.
2. download this mod.
3. extract the mod folder into your sttardew valley\mods directory.
4. run the game using smapi.
configs:
the type of mermaid in your game:
"Mermaid": "Delphine/Sabrina/Pearl"
credit:
all credit goes to mioudew for the sprites & to dragonmaus for the dialogue.
i have permission from mioudew to use these assets & upload this mod fix.
