Tourists! They’re loud, they’re unfashionable, they’re not always polite. This mod adds Custom Companion tourists who wander around Pelican Town and talk about various things, for anyone who would like a bit more bustle in their town without needing to befriend a dozen people.

Features:

  • Randomly-generated appearance drawing from 5 body types, 10 skintones, 12 hairstyles, 6 shirts, 6 pants or skirts, and more!
  • 30+ random dialogue lines for each area - Pelican Town, Cindersap Forest, the beach, the mountain, the railroad, and Calico Desert!
  • Unique dialogue lines for tourists visiting the Stardew Valley Fair!
  • Support for Ridgeside Village, East Scarp, and Market Day, with 40+ unique dialogue lines for each!
  • Config options to decide whether each area has a small, medium, or large quantity of tourists, or turned off entirely!

Configuration:

  • TouristTextPreface: Toggles whether tourist dialogue will be prefaced by the word ‘Tourist:’ to match the vanilla tourist dialogue
    from the Stardew Valley Fair.

  • OnlyAfterBusOrRailroadAccess: Toggles whether tourists will only visit Pelican Town after the bus has been fixed or railroad is
accessible. ‘False’ will allow them to visit from the start of the game.

  • TouristsLeaveAtNight: Toggles whether tourists will disappear at night or be around all day. (setting this to ‘true’ may or may not
have a performance impact depending on your system).

  • AllowTouristsAtStardewFair: Toggles whether this mod’s tourists will be present at the Stardew Fair. Does not affect the vanilla Fair tourists.

  • MarketTourists: Toggles whether additional tourists will visit the town markets if the mod Market Day is installed.

  • TouristsInRidgeside: Toggles whether tourists will visit Ridgeside Village.

  • TouristsInEastScarp: Toggles whether tourists will visit East Scarp.

  • NumberOfTouristsInTown: Selects the maximum amount of tourists that will be present in the town map. This setting also affects
Market Day and Stardew Valley Fair tourists.

  • NumberOfTouristsInForest: Selects the maximum amount of tourists that will be present in the forest map.

  • NumberOfTouristsInMountain: Selects the maximum amount of tourists that will be present in the mountain map.

  • NumberOfTouristsInBeach: Selects the maximum amount of tourists that will be present in the beach map.

  • NumberOfTouristsInRailroad: Selects the maximum amount of tourists that will be present in the railroad map.

  • NumberOfTouristsInDesert: Selects the maximum amount of tourists that will be present in the desert map.

  • NumberOfTouristsInRidgeside: Selects the maximum amount of tourists that will be present in the Ridgeside Village map.

  • NumberOfTouristsInEastScarp: Selects the maximum amount of tourists that will be present in the East Scarp map.

For all NumberOfTourists configuration settings, options include "none", "small", "medium", "large", and "seasonal". The "seasonal" option will use the small quantity in winter, the medium quantity in spring and fall, and the large quantity in summer.

Note: Tourists may show up in events unexpectedly. If this bothers you, set NumberOfTouristsInTown to "none".
