Makes your farmhouse maps look new and fresh towards more realistic layout!


This mod also known as Redesigned Farmhouse Layout Alt version (I decided to change it to something more simple, lol)

Have been planning on redo of my first and old farmhouse redesign mod  - it was really buggy and I ran out of motivation with it long ago. But this new version is better (at least I hope so) - I tried to remove as much old bugs as possibe. Yet there's still some bugs present (for more info read the "Known bugs and issues section" below).

  • Recolor - Vanilla, Vibrant Pastoral, Rustic
  • Debug mode - enable it if you or your furniture stuck beyond the walls\in the void
  • Kitchen - enable\disable in config (disabled by default)
  • Kitchen countertop - enable\disable in config (disabled by default)
  • Invicible corner  at the bottom of the kitchen room for you to place additional fridges! (see the screenshots)
  • Casks in farmhouse - enable\disable in config (enabled by default)
  • Lightbeams in farmhouse and balcony - enable\disable in config (enabled by default, they will be visible any time except rainy days)
  • Decorate every bit of wall your farmhouse have - long hallways for your paintings and attic beams for banners
  • Enable\disable each farmhouse upgrade redesigh separately (if you upgraded your farmhouse up to cellar and want to use cabins as storage - just disable starter\1st\2nd farmhouse in the config. Just make sure you don't upgrade your cabins to cellar level too - it will make it look like your main farmhouse layout
  • Attic for farmhouse! (it gets bigger with every farmhouse upgrade)
  • New custom Balcony location - smaller balcony for 1st farmhouse upgrade, bigger for 2nd
  • Plant crops and trees in the balcony - just dig the floor with your hoe!
  • Change wallpapers and floor and also decoratable walls in the balcony! (thanks to the Custom Decoration Areas mod  by aedenthorn  
  • Hidded tile in balcony for you to hide sprinklers! (see the screenshots)
  • Pond in big balcony - enable\disable in config (enabled by default)
  • You also can catch carps, green and white algae in the pond! (and sometimes trash too, I can't prevent it for now) 

Installation:

  • Install  all the required mods
  • Unpack the mod archive and place it into your mods folder
  • Done!
NOTE: For stardew 1.5.6 you'll also need Extra Map Layers and Custom Decoration Areas mods
I also highly recommend  Nocpil Mod - sometimes you'll need it to get out of buggy cutscenes and othe stuff like that

  • Android version - sorry, but not until  mobile 1.5  update will come out
  • Compatible with pretty much any recolors but note that I manually added farmhouse wall borders recolors only for Vibrant Pastoral, Rustic Country Town(dark) and Rustic Country Town(white) - you can enable\disable them in config
  • Compatible with custom TMXL spouses
  • Compatible with custom cellar mods like Hideaway Cellar or Jen's Cozy Cellar
  • Compatible with SVE, Ridgeside Village and other mods  that don't change indoor FarmHouse maps.
  • Should be compatible with The Farmer's Children, though some indoor farmhouse cutscenes could be offsetted (didn't test it)
  • Should be compatible with Immersive Spouses
  • Should be compatible with Farmhouse Visits but not that NPCs will wander in the void sometimes
  • Should be compatible with Free Love (I didn't change the spouse room position this time, so there should be no bugs with spouse rooms from my side))
  • Should be compatible with mods that redesign the spouse room like Spouse Rooms Redesigned and Asters Bathroom
  • Compatible with Happy Birthday mod but some indoor farmhosue cutscenes will be buggy, so use Noclip mode to avoid stucking in walls
  • Not compatible with No Built In Kitchen 


Known bugs and issues FAQ (please read before submitting a bug):

  • VERY IMPORTANT - when you upgrade your farmhouse (or day after marriage\divorce with your spouse) your game could crash the night when upgrade is applied (your SMAPI log will show endless wall of red error text) - it happens when you try to save the day - it will crash and you'll lose all your ingame day. To prevent that - please, disable the ALL farmhouse layouts in config the day before the upgrade\marriage event happens (it usually takes Robin 3 days to finnish the work, so you need to disable all farmhouse layouts in config before  you go to sleep on 2nd day while Robin is still working. In case of spouse divorcing - disable it in config before going to bed the same day you paid for divorce in Lewis house. Note that for config option to be able to apply you need to wait 10 seconds (1 ingame tick) after enabling\disabling them (so don't hurry get to sleep - please, just stand still for 10 second!  I POTENTIALLY FIXED IT FINALLY!

  • Stuck in bathroom pool tile - when entering the farmhouse bathroom pool  you can stuck in it  and couldn't move sometimes. If that happened - disable pool in config menu and leave the pool area, then enable it again
  • Buggy indoor farmhosue cutscenes/stucking in walls when cutscenes are happening (added by Happy Birthday, Immersive spouses and other such mods) - I can't fixi it, use Nocpil Mod to resolve this

  • Bugged kitchen tiles when using "Industrial Kitchen and Interior" mod - the way to fix it is going into Industrial kitchen mod config and enabling "Kitchen fix manual switch" option

  • Furniture messed up - After upgrading farmhouse (or if you install this mod on already existing save) your furniture will be shifted (you can enable debug mode to pick it up. Or just use Noclip mode if your prefer that way).

  • Multiplayer bug - if 2nd player try to leave the cabin\go to attic - he will be teleported in main host farmhouse instead - solution - for 2nd player - disable the farmhouse redesign in your config (and host probably should do that too but i'm not sure, not tested it).
  • Black/empty spouse rooms - sometimes after applying patches from config your spouse room will go black - solution save  the game and reload your save file

  • Unactive doors - at first load of your save file doors will be unactive (transparent and nonpassable). Solution - go to config, enable debug mode, close the menu and wait 10 seconds, go to config and disable debug menu. Or just simply reenter your farmhouse. - DOORS ARE DELETED COMPLETELY SINCE 1.0.8 VERSION

  •  Spouses WONT GO on 2nd floor and attic - so if you want to place your double bed in those floors do next (to prevent your spouse not be able to sleep): simply place your first double bed at the right corner of your kitchen (I made somewhat of invisible pocket specifically for it - see the screenshots). You absolutely need to place your FIRST double bed in the place where you want your spouse will go to sleep (they will not use the 2nd double bed you'll place anywhere)

  • Balcony teleport - when you leave balcony you will teleport to farmhouse entrance instead of balcony entrance - unfixable for now (I could fix it but it require PYTK and I don't want to use it)

  • Pets in void - sometimes your pet (cat\dog) will wander in the void (probably). On rare occasions your spouse could wander in the void too (much rarer than in my previouse farmhouse mod, lol)

  • Teleport in closet room - there's a tile in the closet room (the small room near stairway) that teleports you to cellar entrance  - I made it on purpose to prevent some bugs with custom cellar mods

  • Wallpaper overlap - in some places wallpapers will somewhat overlap at their highest point - made it on purpose, it's the only way 3 tile high wallpaper could work. Use one toned wallpapers on those walls for bug being less visible.

  • Robin's renovations - don't bother trying add farmhouse renovations from Robin's shop menu - they won't do anything because I deleted them. (Crib is working fine though, you can add or remove it with Robin's shop menu as usual) 

I know there's lots of issues so far but I tried hard to prevent even more, lol. There's a lot of nuances with farmhouse map I can't change due to it hardcoded into the game or other  causes.
