I think this still works in 1.6, however, I highly recommend checking out This Mod instead! It does what I was doing, but way better, more configurable, and in a more immersive fashion.
Have you ever had a dream that you could do anything? Including transmuting your bars back and forth? Well now you can do that part of your dream! I always thought it was weird that you could only transmute some things, so I introduce to you:
Transmutation Time! With this mod you can:
- Transmute Gold Bars to Iridium Bars
- Transmute Iridium Bars to (gasp) Radioactive Bars
- DE transmute all bars in reverse
- Radioactive Bars -> Iridium Bars
- Iridium Bars -> Gold Bars
- Gold Bars -> Iron Bars
- Iron Bars -> Copper Bars
The file has a config option in it just incase you want to change the difficulty (i.e making Radioactive Bars super expensive.)
This config ALSO has the ability to change the recipes for transmuting Iron and Gold!
I also included a version without the Radioactive Bars just incase people really REALLY didn't want those for some reason.
I really recommend using the GenericModConfigMenu to configure your game, it has some descriptions that pop up for easier changing of your configs!
Kudos to these people for making mods that do similar things in the past (I made my own since I couldn't find one that did exactly what I wanted, and these ones are old and not maintained. I took NO code from them.):
