done and done; its funny that I happened to check up on my mods today as i havent touched stardew in waaay too long.I haven't tested it, but it should work but please let me know if it does yea! :) enjoy!
hey! i uh, i dont know how to explain this, please dont get mad at me, but i wanted to make an shirt mod and i used yours as base for making my own desings, and it go very well but it doesnt seem to work now, anyways, i still having the desings in a folder and ofc it was for personal use and all the credits go for you, if you want to give a look i can upload them or we can fin a way to send you, i made it more my taste like but they look good. anyways, thanks for an awesome mod, and im really sorry. dont worry i didnt upload it or anything but i know that is you work and you really work harder on it, and i know that i should ask you before. btw my english is broken sorry.
Hey! Your english is just fine and im not a native speaker myself so dont worry about it!
First off, dont worry about using my mod as a base! In fact, i find using a mod as a base and then working to make it your own is a good way to learn how to make these type of mods and it is actually how i started with this mod myself! If you ever do decide to upload them you wont need to worry about credits (though I wont say no to a shoutout ;) )
Its hard to say why your mod isnt working since idk how you have it set up; but if you look at my mod you'll see its compromised of two main parts: the manifest.json which is like a passport for your mod. Not very important for personal use, but if youre uploading it on nexus mods you can just edit it to fit yours!
The second part is the actual shirts themselves. These need to be packed in their own folders individually. Each folder needs to contain three things: - male.png - female.png - shirt.json
male and female.png are the sprite art for your shirt. In my mod these are identical so its just the same picture twice with a different name. The json file is what put the sprite art in the game. These can do a lot of different things if you know how to use it, but in general what you'd want to do is change the name, since these need to be unique and then save it in the folder with the sprite art.
So at the end of all this you would have:
[JA] Main Folder - [Shirt Subfolder] ?~male.png ?~female.png ?~shirt.json (which inside the text file has a unique name) - manifest.json
And if you were to place that main folder in your mods folder, the shirts you made should show up in game if you use the item spawner
I know this is a lot but I hope this helps! Otherwise, the stardew valley modding discord server is also very good at helping people out. Good luck with your mod and I'd love to see them one day!!
As long as json assets hasnt changed in format my mod should work with the 1.5 update, given of course, that JA has been updated. Im gonna set out to check if it works as soon as I can, but if anyone else has tested it please feel free to leave a comment here!
Hi! While the mod is not /officially/ compatible with the Tailor Mouse, I did get it to work in my own game quite easily by adding the line;
"Laylaisthename.JA.Shirts",
to the shops.json file in the Tailor Mouse mod.
If this is gibberish to you dont worry; Im gonna upload a compatibility file in just a second, though be aware this might not work with the next update to tailor mouse.
