The void ghost pendant is primarily acquired by paying 200 void essence to the Desert Trader. Void essence comes from shadow brutes and Krobus is a shadow folk. Essentially you are giving Krobus a token purchased with the blood of his brethren when you ask him to become your roommate.

Upon reaching 10 hearts of friendship with Krobus, the Wizard will send you a letter advising he has devised a more ethical means of obtaining the pendant. From here, you will be set on a multi-step journey to help Leah craft the pendant so you can give it to Krobus without upsetting him.
Your friendship with the Wizard might just benefit along the way.
1.0.2 Update adds compatibility with Romanceable Rasmodia, making the Wizard's letter appropriately refer to Rasmodia instead. (Thank you Nomori for the compatibility update.)
