Hello, I have been trying to use this mode but the fishes prices doesn't change is there currently a problem with this or does the sell prices not change in hard mode?
The problem with that mod is it adds a butt load of fish, which will cause many headaches right now because numbers are still being adjusted internally based on playtesting and feedback. I might look into adding all those fish if o0MrPro doesn't get around to it.
I played 1.01 and now I'm on 1.04, and the prices from 1.04 feel, a little too low in comparison to 1.01. That being said, I do still quite like the mod, just felt like a stiff jump down. Thank you for your hard work nonetheless!
Hi there! the new balanced mode (if you're using it with my other mods or looking for harder profit) was hopefully made to make fishing not overpowered early-game and has good profit mid/end game if you spend time fishing since at the time you will have more levels and better fishing rod so you get more qualities and profit, however for players who want more fishing profit or who play without my other balance mods, normal mode is the way to go, it has been rebalanced to be better than vanilla in terms of profit but not too overpowered since numbers in 1.0.1 were insanely high for a non-quality fish! with that said, suggestions for buffs/nerfs are welcome and I'll do my best to reach the best balance, have a good day! ^^
When working with o0MrPro, we decided that buffing cheaper fish while nerfing more expensive fish was the best way to balance fishing because it results in more fishing spots being similar in profitability. For example, the mountain lake was by far the most profitable area in early game. That is still the case, but very much less so. It also makes fishing seem like less of a time waste because you won't be constantly forced into a mini-game for a fish worth a mere 40g. It takes the same amount of in-game time to catch a hard fish as an easy fish so the flatter fish curve makes sense but I would love feedback on it because fishing is probably the most finicky thing in the game to balance around early/mid/late game.
I have a problem with normal mode the fish prices legit go to normal classic stardew prices, the sardine is 40 not 105 and largemouth bass is 100 not 150
