I needed a way to keep the tiles in between my trees in my tree farm from getting seeds and grown new trees.
I could've gone with either paths or decoration items, or maybe rocks or plants from the Dungeon Clutter mod.
But I wanted... nothing. Grass. Just a "DO NOT SPAWN STUFF HERE PLS" bit of grass.
Thanks to o0MrPro in the comments, I realised this concept was applicable to more than just paths.
You could hide the paths and chests in your Automate set-up. Hide your sprinklers and scarecrows for a less industrial feel.

P.S. I need to do a little shout-out here: the Slime cave you see in many of my screenshots is from the Slime Hutch Natural Interior mod.
I absolutely adore this mod (I don't know what the devs were thinking with that industrial looking purple building that pokes your eyes out).
1. Install SMAPI
2. Install Alternative Textures
3. Download the .zip file and extract into your /Mods folder
There are multiple .zip files in the Files tab, download the ones you want (or download the -one labelled "ALL" if you want them all!)
Recolour the items using the Paint Bucket, or use the Paint Brush to copy / paste textures.
Note: it is your responsibility to remember where your invisible items are!
You can always colour them back if you know where to aim your paint bucket.
If all else fails, uninstalling the mod will turn your objects visible again.
I also advise using Chests Anywhere if you are going to hide your chests.
It's not required, of course, but it makes it a lot easier to access them.

Please report any other issues you may find in the 'Bugs' tab (as I might miss them in the general posts tab).
