Makes the town feel more alive and dynamic, from sprucing up NPC behaviour to making more dynamic events and maps. Stuff responds to time and what has happened in-game more often.

Current features

  • A corner stall in Pierre's for Caroline which unlocks year 2 when you have 4+ hearts with Caroline. You get an event, a letter, and then Caroline runs her own shop. It's open Friday to Sunday and sells out of season flowers and seeds, saplings, tea, bouquets (if you've reached 8 hearts with a single villager, including some Pierre doesn't sell a bouquet for normally), and a random selection of décor (year 3+)
  • After Shane's 8 heart event, Pierre's will start selling eggs and a fridge will appear in the shop. Shane also has some dialogue which alludes to the idea of now selling eggs.
  • When the Luau and Night Market take place, the beach bridge always appears broken, even after you've fixed it. This mod fixes that.

  • 0.2 ALPHA*: When married to someone else, you can get certain marriage candidates' higher heart events (currently for Alex, Haley, Krobus, Abigail, and Sebastian's 14-heart events, available when you're at 8 hearts with them and have seen their normal 8-heart events)
  • 0.2 ALPHA: When you've gotten Haley's cake walk event, Lewis is pressured to have the library cleaned up and more books added to the shelves. Gunther also gets a beverage budget (nobody knows what he puts in his mug, but it's probably something caffeinated)
  • 0.2 ALPHA: Events and dialogue change to be more consistent with the things that have happened (such as Gus not referring to Shane drinking when he's going sober or Caroline speaking on Pierre's being open all week on summer Mondays after the Community Center is complete)
  • 0.2 ALPHA: Changes the tree outside Alex, Evelyn, and George's house into an old cherry tree, which is pink during Spring. In spring or summer, the Mullners will gift you cherries or jelly if you're close enough with them
  • 0.2 ALPHA: Expansions to Clint's event story line and shop (on development hiatus, existing functionality still available if enabled in config)

*NOTE: Alpha versions are incomplete, partially untested versions that might or might not always work or are incomplete. As the entire mod is a Beta mod, since it isn't in a complete enough state to warrant a 1.0 release yet, the Alpha builds I release are playable alphas. I usually try to keep them functional, but they might still break or have goofy bugs that can make things appear when they shouldn't or not when they should. It's mostly innocuous, but still annoying. They can sometimes also have compatibility issues that I'm not yet aware of. If you want to try them out, back up your save and prepare to lose progress if you have to roll back.

  • (0.2 ALPHA) Generally, be wary of mods that edit the marriage candidates' high heart events for the High Friendship Events feature. If you like, you can disable them in this mod and play with everything else completely fine.
  • (0.2 ALPHA) In general, be wary of mods that edit the Pelican Town map around Evelyn's house. However, you can still use the "Dialogue Only" option to get around this issue, you'll just miss the radioactively pink tree (:




Planned/Possible features
  • Create more changes to the town and some shops after certain NPC events (sticking partially to vanilla, partially to new cool ideas)
  • Provide more dedicated compatibility with certain mods (Ask away in the posts, I might add it, or remove it if you're bothered by my attempt at making your mod work with mine)






!!! SPOILERS BELOW !!!




A Guide to Every Event, Major Dialogue, and Unlock

  • To unlock the Caroline's Corner shop, get to 4 hearts with Caroline, have seen her Greenhouse/Tea Room event, and enter Pierre's year 2 or later on a Tuesday or Wednesday when Caroline and Pierre are present.
  • Shane's Eggs feature is unlocked by viewing his 8 heart event normally.

Evelyn's Gardening/Tree gives new dialogue options for:
  • Evelyn has lines during Spring Fridays (4, 6 hearts) and Summer Mondays (4, 6 hearts), plus one specific to when you're married to Alex in Spring (6 hearts), one unique for Spring (one time, any hearts), and one generic for Spring (any time, any hearts).
  • George has 2 lines of dialogue for Spring (1, 8 hearts), one in Spring when married to Alex (1 heart), and one in Summer (4 hearts).
  • Alex has one line for Saturdays in Spring (4 hearts).

For every high friendship event, you usually have to complete the 8 heart event for the villager and then follow the steps to trigger their normally 14 heart event with 8 hearts. Do remember, this is after you have married or roomed with someone else. Due to some technical limitations, there may occasionally be issues where you see multiple versions of the same event if you're using a polyamory mod and are married to multiple people.

  • Alex HFE: walk out of the farmhouse to get part 1; for part 2, wait until Sunday and enter the Saloon whenever it's open
  • Abigail HFE: enter the Backwoods between 6:10 and 17:00
  • Elliott HFE: enter his cabin anytime before 18:00
  • Emily HFE: walk out of the farmhouse anytime before 8:20, enter her house anytime with the quest item, and then receive the gift item in the mail the next day
  • Krobus HFE: enter the beach between 20:00 and 1:00 when it is not raining
  • Leah HFE: exit farmhouse for part 1, go to Cindersap the next day (or any future non-rain day) between 11:30 and 14:00 for part 2
  • Sam HFE: (WIP) enter Sam's house between 9:00 and 17:00 for part 1 (future parts unimplemented)
  • Sebastian HFE: enter the mountains area when it's rainy between 6:00 and 19:00 (there is no second event for HFE, the tank just appears)
  • Shane HFE: enter town between 8:00 and 17:00 for part 1, enter town again anytime for part 2, and enter town again anytime for part 3


For Clint Growth (WIP, development on pause), the events are more spoiler-y, but here they are:
  • Clint Six Heart 1: (altered from vanilla) enter town through Cindersap between 9:00 and 18:30 when tomorrow isn't a festival
  • Clint Six Heart 2: enter town through Cindersap between 19:00 and 21:00
  • Clint Six Heart 2 Alt: experience Emily's fashion therapy after part 1 but before part 2 and enter town between 16:50 and 18:00
  • Clint Seven Heart: reach 7 hearts and enter Clint's shop
