I don't know if anyone besides me is still playing this game or if anyone is using the mod, but if you want it to work with Content Patcher, here is what you do:
1. Create a folder in the 'Stardew Valley\Mods\' folder and name it 'Slime Hutch' 2. Now create a new folder inside 'Slime Hutch and call that one 'assets' 3. Put the 'Slime Hutch.xnb' from this download into 'assets' 4. Copy a 'manifest.json' from any other mod (or find a way to create .json files) into 'Slime Hutch' (not 'assets'). 5. Open 'manifest.json' with Notepad. 6. Replace all text in 'manifest.json' with the following: { "Name": "Matching Slime Hutch", "Author": "SlushieSlowpoke", "Version": "1.0", "Description": "Hate how the current slime hutch doesn't match any of the other buildings?", "UniqueID": "SlushieSlowpoke.MatchingSlimeHutch", "ContentPackFor": { "UniqueID": "Pathoschild.ContentPatcher" }, "UpdateKeys": [ "Nexus:111" ] } 7. Save and close 'manifest.json' 8. Copy 'content.json' from any other mod (or find a way to create .json files) into 'Slime Hutch' (not 'assets'). 9. Open 'content.json' with Notepad. 10. Replace all text in 'content.json' with the following: { "Format": “1.4”, "Changes": [ { "Action": "Load", "Target": "Buildings/Slime Hutch", "FromFile": "assets/Slime Hutch.xnb" }, ] } 11. Save and close 'content.json'
Thanks so much for these instructions, clear and easy.
Just a little addition about "find a way to create json files", if you can edit them you can make them, just make them text files and change the extension from txt to json at some point. Less risk of mixup with things from another mod that way for me.
Thank you so much for this. The purple monstrosity always prevented me from getting the slime hutch. Now all my buildings match and I'm one happy farmer (:
I know you may not see this, but do you mind if I take this file and make some recolors myself to use in a compilation building pack I'm making? Rather I've already recolored it but I want to know if I can have permission to share said recolors.
for some reason, the file pretty much crashes the game no matter what i do. i've tried renaming it so it'll match the actual file name, and i've tried putting it in there left alone. both times it just crashed my game. the error message says that i'm missing the file altogether. is there anything i can do?

Thanks for the instructions, worked like a charm, except for a minor hitch:
In step 10, there's an error.
The line
"Format": “1.4”,
should be:
"Format": "1.4",
The difference is the quote marks around the "1.4" - in your line they're “1.4”, they should be "1.4". Very hard to see, but they're different.
If you don't change this, you'll get a parsing error.
