Have you considered giving a screen that tells them what they've spent and gained recently? Because combined with this, it might give some perspective.

Particularly as we all sometimes put the game down for months if not longer only to pick it up later, even a broad idea of what you did last would be good. Actually a general summary in that vain would also be a good idea, but that's like a whole other mod

Either way this mod will help a lot. :)

      Thanks for the suggestions!

My goal is to keep this mod as close to vanilla SDV as possible, especially since its primary purpose is to aid Argon's Price of Perfection stream. Making this mod also taught me that ConcernedApe never intended for anyone to replace individual elements of the menu pages: there's a lot going on under the hood with very few opportunities for modular changes. I basically rewrote his inventory page to show the exact same details as vanilla, but in a way that lets me (or anyone else who's interested) swap out the pieces. Aside from that, I didn't add any hooks or logic to track information that isn't already available; I just took the existing numbers and did a little math.

I don't plan to make any major changes to this mod outside of bug fixes and possibly translations, but I'm considering making a second, more generic one based on what I already did here: modularizing the menu pages (not just the inventory page) so that anyone can add new features more easily. No promises I'll ever get around to it, but ideally I'd even like to support content packs so that cosmetic changes like this mod can be done without additional coding; as far as I'm aware, no existing mods allow for easily changing the appearance of existing menu pages.

Having said all that, the whole thing is open source (there's a link to the code at the bottom of the description), and you're more than welcome to try your hand at adding your own features. It's absolutely possible to do what you're asking with a little effort (SMAPI even supports tracking inventory changes, which would go a long way toward your goal). Let me know if you do give it a shot -- I'd love to see the results!
