    If you're like me and was having SO much trouble with how to download this mod if you had the updated romanceable rasmodius that also contains SVE, let me tell you how I got this stupid thing to work.

    1. If you have Seasonal Cuter Characters + Seasonal Cuter Characters SVE, it will OVERRIDE everything. Go into each mod folder and delete the photos (not the folder) from each Character and Portrait folders for the Wizard. The SVE Seasonal Cuter Characters has a Magnus that you will also need to delete the photos for.
    Path: Program Files x86 --> Steam --> Steamapps --> Common --> Stardew Valley --> mods --> [CP] Seasonal Cute Characters --> assets --> Characters (and Portraits) --> Wizard --> delete those photos except the _folder_managed_by_vortex.
    Similarly...
    Path starting from mods --> [CP] Seasonal Cute Characters SVE --> assets --> Characters (and Portraits) --> Magnus or Wizard --> delete those photos too.
    2. Download this mod for Vanilla AND SVE (actually not sure if SVE is needed but I downloaded it just in case). The Romanceable Rasmodius version of this mod does not work with the updated one anymore (they don't have the same files)
    3. Go into your Config (highly recommend Generic Config Menu) for the new Romanceable Rasmodius and change the number of portraits to 9. Go to the Sprite and select "vanilla."

    It should work from here on out.

      adding to this to save anyone the frustration i had in trying to do this for the NON SVE version: for step 3, you have to disable both sprite and portrait entirely. idk why it's different for the non sve version, but that's what finally got it working for me x_x

      Just want to say thank you so much for posting this-- I followed this exactly and now everything works!! I downloaded both the vanilla and SVE versions too and I still get the all the SVE portraits, if anyone was debating whether to try this out!

      idk if the og post was for windows, but the way i had to do it for macos:
      Rather than deleting the photos you drag them into the "false" folder for both the portrait and character photos, download this style portrait for both vanilla and sve!!
      (truly have no idea why it didn't work in the og way for me, could be that mac is being silly, but in this way you can at least keep the photos if u ever decide to switch back to Seasonal Cute for the wizard ig :T)

      (gonna use ur tutorial as a skeleton real quick, very smart of you to format it this way, tyyyy :D)
      Step 1-
      Vanilla:

      Path 1: Stardew Valley --> Contents --> MacOS --> mods --> [CP] Seasonal Cute Characters --> assets --> Characters (and Portraits) --> Wizard (move each photo into False --> Random, leave empty folders as is)

      Path 2 (In a separate finder tab): Stardew Valley --> Contents --> MacOS --> mods --> [CP] Seasonal Cute Characters --> assets --> False --> Random (will eventually get a pop-up about photos having the same name, select "keep both", drop each photo in)

      Step 2 -
      SVE:
      Path 1: Stardew Valley --> Contents --> MacOS --> mods --> [CP] Seasonal Cute Characters SVE --> assets --> Characters (and Portraits) --> Magnus AND Wizard (must do both Magnus and Wizard folders wont work otherwise, move each photo into False --> map, leave empty folders as is)

      Path 2 (In a separate finder tab): Stardew Valley --> Contents --> MacOS --> mods --> [CP] Seasonal Cute Characters SVE --> assets --> False --> Map (will eventually get a pop-up about photos having the same name, select "keep both", drop each photo in)

      THEN DONE \o/ yipee
      it seems confusing when reading out the paths but its just dragging and dropping i swear its not too hard <3, good luck mac users o7

    I found a way to make it work. Deleted the Portraits and Sprites of "Magnus" from "Seasonal Cute Characters SVE" (I also deleted the Portraits and Sprites of " Wizard", I don't know if it has any effect)

    我找到了一个方法可以与sve稍微可爱兼容,而且很简单:直接把行走文件和肖像的xnb和png文件提取出来然后加入稍微可爱的mod文件夹直接替换掉原mod即可

    Where do I put the file - WizardHat_SVE to make it show up? to be safe, I put this photo in both the Magnus folder & the Wizard folder and it still doesn't show up. I have the config file set to see the wizard hat but it doesn't appear. All I can think is that the file is in the wrong place but where else would it go?

    hello! i've seen some people asking for help for the hat not showing, and i bring some solutions:

    1. the hat option is configurable, so if you have Generic Mod Config Menu this mod WILL show up there for you to enable/disable the hat option! though, if you don't have GMCM, you can alter the config.json file through an online json editor or a downloaded one. the code is very simple:

    {
      "WizardHat": "true"
    }

    it is enabled by default, so if you want to disable it, simply change "true" for "false" and save - note: you will have to copy the config.json that you altered and paste it on the mod's folder, clicking "yes" to overrite/substitute the previous config.json, or else it won't work because you would still be using the default file.

    2. if that doesn't help, you can use an image editor (if using MS Paint, see 2.1) or pixel art editor to copy the WizardHat_SVE and paste it over the portraits, adjusting as needed, pasting these altered portraits on the Portraits folder and substituting the no-hat ones with the same names as the original images - this is a bit of work, but it will make the hat visible if you can't seem to make it work! don't forget to backup the original no-hat portraits if you ever want to change them back, although you can always copy and paste them from the original .zip download too.

    * 2.1 if you are using MS Paint, the PNG area of the images will be filled with white, so your edited portraits or sprites will have a white square around them. to fix it, please do the following:
    - you can use an image editor to erase the white background, just make sure that any pixels in between the portraits/sprites that should be PNG are erased aswell.
    - to make this faster, i recommend using piskelapp.com with the "paint all pixels of the same color" tool (the hotkey for this tool is A by default, its icon on the app is a paint bucket tool surrounded by a spiral). with this tool selected, you can go to the two color squares under the tool tab and select the PNG option (by default, the first square is solid colors and the secondary is PNG, so you can press X to swap the colors and it will select the PNG option quicker). simply click the white background and it will automatically change the white pixels to PNG, making them transparent.
    >>>>>> if this erases any pixels that shouldn't be transparent (any pixels that are part of the portraits), you can simply change the color to white and select the pen tool (P by default) to paint them in again.

    i hope this helps! please comment if you face any issues with any of these methods and i will see what i can do to assist you! ^^

    Hello. Sorry to bother but I can't get the mod to work :(
    I have the cute seasonal outfits and the Stardew valley expanded cute seasonal characters, basically two mods that modify appearance of the npc, now, I deleted the Wizard files from character portraits and sprites on both mod folders, but I don't really know how to add this mod, I downloaded it and put it in the mod folder but it doesn't seem to do the trick. How can I use this mod, it looks super cute but I really can't make it work properly TwT
    I also used the SVE file just to clarify haha

      How I got it to work was taking the portraits for this mod and replacing the portraits for the 'Wizard' and 'Magnus' in the Cute Seasonal Characters Mod. Just a quick copy and paste and made sure to label things like "wizard_spring" or "magnus_spring" and poof! It worked!!

      im having the opposite problem, i deleted all the files marked wizard and replaced them with the portraits of "wizard" i went into every folder marked "characters" and pasted the young faces into those files. but for me, my issue is that i cant get the wizard to put his hat on...i have the images of him without his hat...and i want his hat on.

      I cannot guarantee that it will work, as I don't know what all mods each person has installed and if other mods affect stuff, BUT!  If you have
      both Cute Seasonal Outfits, and the Seasonal Younger Wizard
      portraits/sprites mods installed together, just try going into the Cute
      Seasonal Outfits mod folders, and rename the two folders labeled
      "Wizard".  Change the name of each of the Wizard folders, for portraits
      and sprites respectively, to .Wizard.  The game will ignore stuff
      renamed with a period put in front of it.  A friend who first got me
      into playing Stardew on PC with mods taught me this.  You shouldn't
      actually need to delete or replace anything.  Then, if you want to go
      back to the Cute Seasonal Outfits version of the wizard, you can just go
      back and rename the folders again removing the period.  I hope this
      turns out to be helpful for others who are having trouble getting the
      cute wizard pics to work!  I also have not used anything relating to SVE
      (yet) so I cannot speak to the SVE versions of things. ♥

      Mods > [CP] Seasonal Cute Characters > Assets > Characters/Portraits
      (both folders) > change file name Wizard to .Wizard
