i have given permission for twilightdvsn to make a updated version of this mod, which they have done, called cute chest buckles. it's basically the same as this mod, but is compatible with 1.6 and works on big chests, as well as having a configurable design for the chest buckle. it's an awesome mod!
if for whatever reason you want to keep using this mod, you should be able to, it just won't affect any chest types other than regular.
