I needed my blue chickens to have vanilla lineart, curly feathers, but still have a few different skins for use with More Animals, Adopt 'n' Skin, and similar.
Here's 3 new "blue" chickens. bluechicken_4 and respective baby is unedited SDV linework. I didn't draw or alter, nor do I own the art, just recolored it.
Install Instructions vary depending on your mod choice! But this is how you install with More Animals OR Adopt 'n' Skin (they aren't compatible): 1. Download and open Sav's folder up to them .pngs 2. Also open your "Stardew Valley>Mods>moreanimals>assets>skins" OR "Stardew Valley>Mods>adoptskin>assets>skins" 3. Drag all .png sprites (or only the ones you like most) from Sav's folder into your "skins" folder. 4. Run game + SMAPI. If this is your first install of the reskin mod, or first time adding skins for this type of animal, they will be randomly assigned to animals in a preexisting save file I think. Yay!
Never drawn or edited a sprite before? Know how to use an image editing program like 'shop, gimp, or krita? Using the select tool and an HSV slider creatively makes quick and easy sprite edits.
